You want to increase volume, get 2 more speakers - same make/model of your current 8 ohms, this will also drop the load to 4 ohms - make sure your amp can handle it & can push the new speaker rating.  You will effectively double yur volume!  
Which speakers/mixer-amp combo are you using now - makes/models?  You may not have something set up correctly as well where an adjustment may help or it just may be the wrong combo.

Your question is a bit vague. What Lonman said above is true, but if you have a 25W+25W system, or something else in a low wattage range, doubling your volume by halving your impedance with 2 additional speakers in parallel, will not show much improvement.

Ah but it could make for a pretty good smoke machine .....for a minute anyway

What "Allstar" said.......but speaker placement will help. But buying two more speakers and going to 4ohms, won't do much. Seems a bigger power amp and speaker combo upgrade might be in order.

A good place to start would be to know how much power you have now and what speakers you are using. (specifically). It is possible you have ample power and just very inefficient speakers. With enough information these fine people can more than likely point you in the right direction.

Take your speakers and mount them in two large black plastic garbage cans. Throw some dark mesh over the open ends. and write Bose or some other highly touted brand on the side with some white paint. Mount these bad boys on a wall or on tripods. When most people see them, their eyes will tell their ears that this has to be some incredible jam emanating from those monsters.....hope this helps.... ...........ps....use the inverted lids to hold plenty of drinks.....

As  one with or two three engineering degrees I am sitting here laughing although I,appreciate the sophisication  that this thread has pr0ovided Some people here are right on..

I can take  any system and with speaker placement  or any brand of speakers light  a  m flipp9ng bar It aint a rocket science.. I have installed prob 500 juke boxes and sound systems.. 70 volt and 8 ohm. With 100 watts!!!!

The Lonman is correct....but only if your equipment will support it....AND he did ask that you provide the specs on your equipment.

His answer stated another way-if your amp and present speakers are properly matched at 8 Oms in stereo-AND if your amp can safely operate at 4 Ohms, then simply add an identical pair of speakers to DOUBLE the sound pressure level (volume).

So provide some specs including name and model of both speakers and amp if you want a an expert answer.
