Lonny,
That system is cool. I hope you don't have to haul all that stuff every night tho. If I had one steady gig I could deal with it, but I been downsizing so my old body can take it...if you know what I mean. I'm sort of on this path to "essentials only", or how can I get the best sound out of the least amount of equipment.
No it's all stationary, but are in racks if ever need to be pulled out (God forbid  ). I would never rack everything together, this is where I see people making their biggest mistake. Amps in one rack (heavy enough with 4 amps, don't need anything else in it). Effects in one rack, players in their own - although if I went mobile with it, I would probably try & make that rack smaller. I would need to get a coffin for my discs - even though i'm computerized, they go to every show simply for proof & back up purposes.
When I had & used my mobile system, it actually had more stuff - ran bands with it too but made a damn fine karaoke system, but no place would pay because I didn't have a huge selection like my other system & I wouldn't copy discs or the computer for that system - even though we turned the till around from $100 per night to over $1000. When they refused to pay me my full pay, I quit. They got some half
(@$%!) in there with a huge illegal library that WOULD do it for peanuts. Unfortunately, I took all my crowd back to my main club. Went in there a couple weeks later it was the kj, the bartender & 4 people sitting at the bar - me included.
BUT that's a completely nother rant.
I finally sold part of that system off to a band & the other part to a recording studio.
