OK...
So here's the scoop

I went into labour at 12:30 Thursday night (Friday morning) I left my place at about 1:30. Got into my room at 1:45 and she was born at 3:23am!!! Only and hour and half in the hospital!

When I started to deliver, the doc wasn't there yet.... the nurse said not to push and I'm like "I HAVE TO!" so she's on the phone panicking while talking to my doc "She's crowning!" He must have been either in the hospital, or on the way, cuz he was there in about 5 mins after that call. The nurse was there for my second push.... then the doc comes running in... putting on gloves on the way..... no time to put on a gown.... next push and he caught her! Only 3 pushes and she was out! Good thing I didn't sneeze, huh?




so... obviously... because of the quick delivery... there was hemmoraging (sp?) and a LOT of stitches. There was no time for an epidural, and the freezing didn't work, so i laid there for a straight hour while he stitched with nothing but laughing gas.... nearly passed out 3 times.... I honestly thought I was gonna lose it, but I managed to breathe... and scream.... then breathe again..... Yeah... It was a quick labour and delivery and really.... it wasn't THAT painful, but if anyone says I had it easy, I'll kill 'em!!

So I just got home, cuz I needed some time to heal, and the baby was awfully tiny, so she needed to gain some weight. SO... here's the details:

Name: Leah Sarah Lynn
Weight: 5 lbs, 9oz
Length: 18.5 inches

what else do people wanna know? I can't think! !

Wow, that sure was a quick delivery, good thing you got to the hospital in time, !  LOL It's good to know you're both home now and that all went well.  Sorry to hear about the stitches, I know just what that feels like.  :shock:

Crystal!!! OMG  she is beautiful and so are you!!!  She is just a living little doll.  So glad you didn't have to spend days in the hospital.  Make sure you sleep when she does, so you can heal.

Isis... i DID spend days in the hospital, silly!! I just got home yesterday (Tuesday) she was born Friday morning.

Morgan... yeah, her eyes are huge... and she's so alert and content to just look around wonderin "how'd I get out here?" She's got her daddy's big beautiful eyes. Long lashes too

Ok... can't talk long... gotta go get some sleep while she's asleep

My first two kids were 5 pounders too, they're so cute when that tiny, but I imagine you'll have to use some preemie clothes for a month or two. (i did)

Glad to hear you didn't have too rough of a time. Only one of mine came that fast, woke up at 2:30 am, and he was born at 3:15 am... talk about barely getting in the hospital in time.  :shock:  :shock:

Awww!!! Congrats!! And Sooooo cute....

I remember when Sky was that small. She came home 5 lbs 6 oz... and holy heck, I NEVER dressed her, it was impossible to find clothes to fit;) Thank goodness my sister was a super premmie and my mom saved the clothes:) I actually will admit to dressing her in doll clothes;) (Shhh.. don't tell her!)


Beautiful little girl... makes me go "Awww, I want another", , but Justin got a vasectomy a few weeks ago! Lol, so, I guess that's a no go then;)

Congrats again, you look lovely btw! Can't wait to see pics of her in a few months:) I love babies... (well, unless I AM changing the diapers, and THEN i don't!)

Girl... you did have an easy labor, but with him stitching you up with nothing but laughing gas..... we'll call it even hun.  I can't imagine how painful that was.

But on the positive side, you went through all of that pain, and now you have a gorgeous little girl to show for it.  I'll have my husband call the new daddy about getting a shot gun .
