Ok, I am not the type who seek out celebrities. Usually when I see someone famous, I just walk the other way because I think they just want their privacy. I saw Frank Robinson in an airport surrounded by people asking for autograph and he was nice and all but I can tell he was tired from all that attention. I saw Ronnie Lott in a tram in Las Vegas airport and some woman was hounding him the whole way. He seemed annoyed.

That being said, I used to help out a friend's country and western band a few years ago and they opened for several major stars. I got the hang back stage and meet some of these people and they are very nice and couple of them even took pictures with me.

So, I thought it would be a fun thread for people to post their pictures with a celebrity. Got any to post? (I kind of got bored and was looking for something new to post) :)

I will start with my only two pictures I have with Trisha Yearwood and Pam Tillis.

Well,  I don't have any exciting recent photos,  Although I spent some time with a few celebrities years back,  my most recent brush with fame was while shoveling snow November 2005.  I met Jaws !

I've met some face to face, not always had a camera handy though. I did get pics with David Grisman, Rhonda Vincent, the mandolin player from Cadillac Sky, and Mike Nadolson from Tricopolis records. (sorry... no big rockers, they are all bluegrass people)

But, I was at a 3 day bluegrass festival, and had been working there and sitting in on various jams for a lot of hours- and got hardly any sleep that weekend... so I'm NOT sharing the pics with you all.  LMAO  I look much too frazzled & burnt out in all the pics I had taken;)

Cool thread though.

Hey, that is cool. I would love to have had chance to talk to Richard Branson. I think he's as close to a Renaissance man today then anyone in the world. I would give up most of my stuff just to have a few hours of conversation with him.

I did find out there is a pretty famous racehorse named Charmin too.

Well,  that wasn't actually Elvis Charmin,  I thought you were too young to have "Senior moments".  Have you forgotten last summer while down at Keiths place ?
Image

Not to mention the time you two decided to get this yankee drunk, take advantage of my inebriated state, and take me to the Tatoo Parlor to make me more "Country"   :(

I was referring to the pic with the horse.... that horse looks ready to take action.

Errr... nevermind. I'm really lowering even MY standards now.  LMAO

That photo ?

Yeah,  Actually I agree with you,  but that's not what happened, (well it wasn't supposed to).  I think the horse was able to smell that I just crawled out've it's slop bucket.  I was feeling a tad hypoglycemic from that walk to the barn from Keiths backdoor,  as you'll recall it was at least a 40 foot hike. So I needed a snack !

I thought you were talking about the second photo where the Cow looked all amorous !

ADDED IN:

Charmin,  If you must stoop to such standards must you take me with you ?  I took my vows and I'm supposed to be married to my music 'n stuff,  you're influencing my morals and I'm getting imbalanced and typing like a frustrated 51 year old fat perv that lives in his mothers basement and can't get any

(so kindly retract all inferences regarding that charitable horses promiscuity,  I had no way of knowing that both you and Keith were kidding when you guys said,  "Hey Kappy, do you want to know the best way to bond with horses?"  I live in CT.  how am I supposed to know what correct Equine etiquette is ?  I never even saw a horse before that trip,  You remember when I asked Keith if he had a box of Milkbones so I could give one to the Grate Dane by the barn ?)

Yeah, yeah, well that horse thing was a joke. (who'd of thunk you'd fall for it)  LMAO

And yes, when I stoop to lowly standards... SOMEbody is going down with me. You were available..... and so eager to join me. Muahaha

Had I known the sole purpose for my being invited to that get-together was to be the patsy, and get made fun of,  I'd never have combined my welfare money with the advance on the allowance I got from mom to pay for the plane trip down  :(   It was bad enough that I had to google the address when nobody was at the airport as promised to pick me up !   Not to mention, the address turned out to be a construction site lot with just that outhouse.  Good thing I had his address from an earier mailing.
