Songs I sang saturday night.
"Before He Cheats" Carry Underwood
"Think" Aretha Franklin
"Sister Christian" A GUYS SONG LMAO
Kelley Karaoke - "Crazy Ex-Girlfiend", tough song. You go girl!
Tinkermom- I'm having a bit of trouble with "Call me when your Sober" too. I do My Immortal and Bring me to life, but this new song I just can't get a handle on. Once I get started I'm fine. I just can't seem to hear the right note to start on. I stand there like an idiot until it comes to me or I hear someone in the crowd. LMAO
Morgan - I knew you'd have a ton of songs. You're awesome for that.

I have that same problem with Kelly Clarkson's A Moment Like This. There's a key change at the bridge, I think, and I always feel like I'm singing just a little sharp.
But you've got to hand it to Amy Lee. That girl is a genious at holding and dramatizing those long notes. I've only done that particular song once in front of a crowd (very small crowd, thank God!!) and found in more than one spot I didn't take a big enough breath. PANIC!! And if I reach too deep for that breath, I'm straying a little from the right key. My chops just aren't ready for that one yet.
But I did think of some more after reading Knightshow's post about STTW. I have both volumes of Smiths/Morrissey and love to sing Everyday is Like Sunday and Suedehead (gender benders). Good memories of hanging at the beach as a teenager with friends. ((sigh)).
And Charm, I've always wanted to do I Touch Myself but never had the nerve. A little liquid courage would have to be summoned!

Some fun songs there, Matt! My son used to sing "Arabian Nights" (usually the version off of the 2nd movie that said something like "here we goooooo") on the school bus. In fact, he sang a lot of Disney songs on the bus! He doesn't watch as many Disney movies now that he's 9, but he does like to watch "The Lion King 1 1/2" while he's going to bed.

when I first got my disc, I was converting them to PC, and playing them, and my 20yr old son was in the kitchen singing along... I ended up shutting up and listened to him do ALL the voices on "Prince Ali"... Friggin' HYSTERICAL!
Course, he loves the disney movies. He about died laughing when I did a animated version of "Le Poissons" from "Little Mermaid"... in the Chef's voice and all. I did it again funny wise doing it with the Muppet's Chef's voice... had everyone in hysterics!

Love the Anastacia song, "Left Outside Alone" is another great one by her.
As I said earlier, I do most of my karaoke in gay bars, so you can imagine how over the Dreamgirls songs I am, . Some stereotypes are definitely true.

Last night I sang:
"I Touch Myself"-Divinyls
"Love at the Five and Dime"-Kathy Mattea
"Mr. Big Stuff"-Jean Knight (my first time singing this--or even hearing anyone sing it for karaoke; unfortunately, the lyric swipe on the disc was off--they left out an entire line of the last verse and it threw me off)

Someone said he had opera training. Hmmmm. I will have to check out more of their stuff. I've only heard a couple of songs from them.
