The Guitar Center in my area has a pair of used Mackie SA1521 powered speakers for $540.00 a piece. I have heard them and they sound great the only issue would be the size. Has anyone used these speakers and can give me an idea if this is a good deal for these. I currently use JBL Eon g2's. Thanks

I've rented these several times, very nice speaker & if you can get them for that price, that's a steal!

Thanks Lonman, Sorry I gave the wrong model number its actually the SR1530. They are used but they appear to be in great shape.

Those i've never used but have heard at other shows - still a great speaker provided you can get them in the air as in on a tall stage or flown.  They are too heavy for standard speaker stands & you don't want to just put them on the floor as the back would lose high & mid range definition.  I believe they are now discontinued in favor of a more powerful model, but they did run around the $1000-1200 per speaker mark when new.
