Ok, so I'm looking to add some compression/limiting to my setup and I'd like some recommendations.  I'm basically looking for something with a fairly high density - preferably 4 channels per 1U of space but I'm open to hear what anyone would recommend.

The 3 units I'm looking at are:
Samson S-Com4 - compressor/limiter/gate
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SCom4/
$150

dbx 1046 - compressor/limiter
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/1046/
$500

Presonus ACP-88 - compressor/limiter/gate
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ACP88/
$900 (would likely look for this used on eBay)

My current rig:
Mackie Onyx 1620 Mixer
Peavey Twin DeltaFX
RSQ-333
Cavs 203G
Behringer DEQ2496

I have more gear in the rack but this is the core.  The Behringer is on the final output for feedback supression, compression, and EQ'ing.  I'm not running a multi-amped system so a crossover isn't necessary (I'm using a B-52 Matrix 1000 for most of my karaoke gigs).

Any recommendations would be appreciated...

On a side note, I'm about to start recording a few local bands with my karaoke rig and the compressor would be used for that as well.

The dbx 1046, it's a little more, but will do the best job - especially for the bands, plus it has a great brick wall limiter in it - mic'ing a kick drum or bass guitar.
This unit is based on their world renowned 160 series.  WELL worth the price.
