I figured I have several choices.  One choice being do something productive.  Naturally I decided to pursue the frivolous route...  Figured it'd be interesting to see "who we are", when we enter our Karaoke Scene nick's into a web browser





Who Is Kappy ?


  Kappy is an award winning photographer who graduated from Midwestern State University with a BA degree in photography in 1992. After graduation she worked for a prestigious studio in Austin for three years. In 1997, Kappy opened her own studio. She specializes in Children's and Family photography. Her philosophy is, "let the children show you the way...if children feel pressured to perform, they will not act natural." Kappy is a member of both the Professional Photographers of America and Texas Professional Photographers of America.
  Kappy and husband Jeff have been married for ten years and have two wonderful children. Gavin is eight, and Claire is six years old.

A college lifted your Karaoke Scene nickname too,  but that was back when you were still a newbie here...  around 1860.  I suppose they didn't do it intentionally, probably just too lazy to google before naming the school.

Not very exciting.... and sadly, they are fake names for all of you! Gilly IS MY real name! (Well, it is half of the name I was given, and the only name I am ever called. (My whole name is Gillian)

Well, heck..... I googled "who is bluestainedshoes" and all it pulls up is the Karaoke Scene and Cybergrass websites:) Seems I'm unique and one of a kind, Lol.

There would be the true tale of where my *real* name came from.

Now, Steven, I learned something all because of your thread here. I had always thought my parents named me after the infamous *Charmin* product, because it had recently came on the market:) But when I went to the site (yes... I spent part of sunday evening reading on the *Charmin* website... how dull am I?) ...... I realized it was first invented in 1928. My dad wasn't even born then. So, I called my dad AND my mom- just to ask them- why they picked that name. I seriously had thought they had told me "Charmin had just came out, and we thought it was cute" (could be why I've always hated the word "cute" too)

Anyways..... They both said "No, you were named after the Charlie Walker song... Don't Squeeze My Sharmon.... it was popular on radio then". So I googled that too. Sure enough, it was released the year before I was born.  My dad's band played that song. (trust me, I grew up hearing it EVERY time they got together to sing)

So, being named after a SONG is much more satisfying than being named after a toiletry product. (even though that product sparked the song I think- he spelled the name differently-Sharmon.... but my parents wanted mine to be spelled more like my dad's name-Charlie) I guess maybe I was named after both. And I did turn out to be squeezably soft, so.....  :D


And all these years I've been living a lie.    :D

Now that I got my ancestry and birth information all straightened out, I'm gonna go get me some hot tea:) haha

Mine is almost always used as a user name. Not too surprised about that.

When I do a search using my whole name, my dad and I both come up but also a baseball player who might be a cousin of mine.
