"He clasps the crag with crooked hands;/ Close to the sun in lonely lands,/ Ringed with the azure world, he stands./ The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls: / He watches from his mountain walls, / And like a thunderbolt he falls." Tennyson "The Eagle"

Was it actually "hands" and not claws ? Interesting. Obviously I forgot. Naturally it makes sense, since that rhymes with "lands", however I didn't think that first verse rhymed in "The Eagle".. Oh well,

Well, Just another addition to the "these areas are not my forte" list

I find this quite humorous Jerry. The following post is from a "riddle" board. From the looks of the problem solving capabilities, I think I'm starting to figure out what's wrong with our educational system today. This is an adults response :(
This is pretty funny.
(Considering "The Eagle" is the poem title from A.L. Tennyson)

He clasps the crag with crooked hands
crooked hands?....oh claws!!!
Close to the sun in lonely lands.
lonely lands....desert!!! close to the sun....an bird!!!
Ringed with the azure world he stands.
the sky??......still a bird
The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls
dont get it...
He watches from his mountain walls
still thinking of a bird....
And like a thunderbolt he falls.
a bird....
ok it's either an Eagle or Falcon!!
(I'm wondering why this brain-child didn't think up "A meteorite")
