A very dear friend sent me the above mic to record with...wow that is friendship! Anyway being a condenser I need phantom power...no prob I thought, my mixer has phantom power.
My problem is the m-audio fasttrack interface. If I plug the mixer into the line in I get virtually nothing
If I plug into the line in of the soundblaster live external it records fine, I also have latency probs with soundblaster.
I love the mic to record with it has a clarity and warmth that is so cool but recording on the fly with it kinda defeats the purpose cos I cant do any editing
so I need suggestions as to how to set this up so as I can use the better sound card  and be able to hear my vocals as well as the music while I am recording.

Well you could just get a phantom power supply & hook directly to the M-Audio interface bypassing the mixer entirely.
