I just got skunked on Friday night doing a song I SWORE was a sing along, that got ZERO response....
Now this was a crowd that was going country CRAZY. They were singing Allan Jackson, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, etc., so I say let's all do a sing along and I guarantee everyone will know it.
I cue up "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers. Not ONE person sang until the 2nd chorus. They looked at me as if I was nuts...N...V...T...S...nuts!
Followed with Dirty Deeds and dropped the music out for the 'Done Dirt Cheap', and they all responded....
Go figure???
PS: Cha Cha Slide, These Boots Are Made for Walkin, and California Dreamin too....
