Went and checked a new,"old" bar in OKC that has added karaoke not too long ago. We had never been to this spot before and it looked a little different than what my lovely wife is usually used to. It was (is) a pretty hardcore biker bar.
We had a blast even though I did not ride my bike, just too cold
and I was a candy bleep on Saturday. We stayed from about 8:30 till 1:00 and met some of the friendliest people around and we all had a great time singing.
It was fun to see some of the rough and tough looking bikers singing their hearts out.
It is the only bar I have ever been in where people we did not know ,or had ever met came around and said THANKS for coming out:hope you come back etc....
Do not believe all that you may think or hear about our brothers on iron, they are nicer and more likely to help you out than your accountant neighbor down the street.
Ride Wide.....

Blue #3 ( LMAO )

If any of the rest of you guys are in the OKC area let me know.

Great to hear you had a good time, that's awesome.

That would indeed be fun to see. My husband was a diesel mechanic for years- and one year after the annual christmas dinner, I talked a bunch of the truck drivers into going to karaoke with me. (they were mostly drunk already anyhow, so I didn't have to twist their arms too much...)  It was fairly entertaining, watching some of the men and what songs they chose to sing:) Between the lot of them, I don't know that ONE true note was hit the whole night, haha. But what a blast we had. I even got what drinks I had bought for free that night from them, so it was pretty much a win-win situation for me.

(Blue... #1...??) <------- I should not have opened my big mouth and said that. I'm just *Charmin*, you can have the title:)

I was a hard-core biker for many years (even before karaoke was as popular).

Now days, at least through the ‘90s, many more “normal” folks became “bikers”, and they’re mostly very-nice people, despite the appearance.

I’m pretty cleaned up now (job and all), but I still ride, and remember the crazy days.

I think everybody likes karaoke, and the alcohol definitely help get things going.

I've been to a couple of bars that, if not actually "biker bars," certainly had numerous patrons who were bikers.  Not the sort of crowd I'd normally hang around with, but that's one thing that's neat about karaoke: it doesn't matter if you have nothing else in common as long as you like to sing.

Having said that, I wouldn't have taken my wife to those places.

Although I know that not all hard core bikers are scary people, I used to live in Oakland, CA and used to drive by the headquarters of Hells Angels a few times. Everytime, I kind of sunk low in my seat when I went by, didn't want to attract any attention there. There were some mean bikers there.

Yes, they are great people. They can both e be flat out hysterical.....And they are just genuine too....

I didn't want to flat out say their name... Cause I didn't want anyone to think I was advertising for them....

Richard and Susie are literally the two nicest people on the karaoke planetscape. I think that they have a copyright patent pending, to be honest about it! :P

They came up to KC and hung out with me one night! Absolutely first rate folks!

   Hi Sharon (Hi to Rich for us!) and Matt!  You guys are great!!!  I'm actually blushing....  We've enjoyed meeting and singing with you folks and return the sentiment!

bluekaraoke emailed us and said he and his wife would be out tonight and...  it's my turn to drink!!!!  LOL  He mentioned that he was on this forum and had met you guys.  Perhaps we have another couple that will be going back to DFW some time with Frank, Dena, Nita, Monty and anyone else with a wild hair!!

We think of you guys often and I wanted to take this chance (I should vacuum right now and absolutely will once I'm done with this message) and remind you guys of the offer here.....  Gail, Chuck, Danny and the rest of the gang too!!

The New Years Eve we spent with you guys was the best I can remember having....  Seriously.

I've absolutely gotta go...  Sharon & Matt, great to see you again, bluekaraoke we are looking forward to tonight.

Susie :)

Sharon,

That would be great if he and his wife would come through here!!  We've had so much fun with the people we've met "in real life" from KS!!!!!

Speaking of which.....  Kenny, his wife Sheri and their friend Joey came by "The Store" Saturday night!!  We had a blast!  They shared their table with some friends of ours, Christy, Dell, Tonya & Michelle.  By the end of the night Christy and Sheri were talking away and Dell had brought the table a round of shots!!  We were disappointed in that they didn't get to meet Frank, Dena, Monty & Nita but I'm sure they will sometime.....

Had a great time and can't wait to karaoke with you again!
Susie :)
