ok i can't compete with those 2 cities so just stay away from here... ![lol lol](./images/smilies/emot-LOL.gif) l...noooo don't come here for the beautiful white beaches, or the fishing, being right next door to la. we have the best fishing anywhere, bar none...go compare.... just laying on our butts / i mean cots....reason for that is we have no houses, they went POOF....not crowded at all, again i have to mention la. when it comes to food... world's best and we're just 45 min. away from new orleans, highest crime rate in the U S....soooooo if ur into an exciting lifestyle with a sense for near death come onnn downnnn....or NOT Billy

Geez, is everyone trying to keep her AWAY?
Sharon, next vacation you take... come to Canby. (preferably in summer, ![lol lol](./images/smilies/emot-LOL.gif) , cause yeah.... we CAN get a little bit of freezing rain and snow and sleet and fog in winter) Oh, and by summer, I mean..... come in JULY or AUGUST. Anything else should be considered winter here. (november-february... deep winter) .... (march through June.... late winter)... (september-october.... early winter) Though, today was perfect. 74 degrees, no wind at all.... no clouds, really nice weather. (cold nights tho)
But Canby is a small town. You can take a short little drive and reach mountains with it's slick roads, the coast with it's howling wind and cresting waves, the ski bowls with all it's snow, the city lights and whatever the heck other sins the city holds.... and then you can run away from it all and come back here for good ol' R&R.
Ignore these crazy guys. Heck, they all sound scared of where they live. ![no ](./images/smilies/emot-shakehead.gif)

Hey Isis, make sure you look me up when you get to Nor Cal. Leave a weekend to enjoy for sure. How about we start off Saturday morning with a champaignery tour, then off to tasting finest wine mid morning. Then off to taste some brandy. And if you are not drunk by then, my friend run a beer brewery in Napa we can get a private tour (it's been a while but I think I still have a pull). Too bad the the sake distillery closed down in Napa but there is one near by in Berkeley.
If you don't want the drinking tour, although I don't understand why you wouldn't, then down to Monterey to visit the aquarium down there. Then visit the Cannery Row. Then drive up the coast along the highway 1, one of the most spectacular coastal site in the west coast.
Or just spend the day in San Fran. Visit the Fisherman's Wharf riding the cable car (just so that you can say you did). Climb up the KOIT tower, cross the Golden Gate bridge, go down the Lombard St (the crookest streen in the world), have lunch in the North Beach area or China Town, take a tour to the Alcatraz (although you will need to buy tickets way in advance). Or do things most tourists don't do, like visiting Haight-Ashbury area, walk on the beach near the light house, visit the AT&T Park for a baseball game, eat at some of more eccletic restaurants in the city, go shopping in the Embarcadero, etc.
Any of those things you can do it in a day. It's starting to be a tourist season so expect to wait in line for a few things but weather has been fantastic lately, 70-80 degrees with sunny and slight breeze to cool you down. Typical spring weather.
No matter where you go, it's more important to have fun than anything else.
