I have downloaded a coulple of cdg editors but none of them seem to do what I want and that is to remove time from a CGD file so that it matches the mp3 I have also removed time from.

Perhaps they were reducing the 1:12 instrumental break in "Heard It In A Love Song".
I would be all for editing some songs to reduce their length -- there are way too many 5:00-plus songs coming out these days....

Are we talking about CDG as in on a CD or are we talking on a computer based system as in MP3 +CDG? If it is the latter it's no trick at all.

I'm assuming you're working with cdg+mp3 or wav on your computer. Be more specific about where you edited the music. Long beginning? Long break? Long end? There certainly are ways to do what you want, but a cdg editing program is only one piece of the arsenal you will need, and there are many tricks you may need to use, depending on the results you're looking for and where you made the edits. You can PM me on this subject if you want to really get into doing this. This is one reason why I hate Sound Choice. They have no sense of editing music for karaoke. And some of the other companies that try prove they're no good at it either.

Hmm... you were "lost" the other day re: cdg display too. If Sound Choice wouldn't leave such long breaks and endings in their tracks they wouldn't *need* editing, would they????? I guess just because you don't farm it anymore doesn't mean you don't smoke it, eh? I like the way you tell pgcrossing there's "no trick" to manipulating a cdg file when you obviously don't have the 1st clue what you're talking about. pgcrossing, I'm through replying in this thread. PM me if you want to discuss this further. There are some here who will jerk you around for want of anything better to do, I guess.

Guess it's all in what you are desiring. I personally can't stand the companies that edit their music. What I hear on my album is what I want to sing.
Long outro ending don't HAVE to be played all the way through, they can be faded out once the singing is done.
They aren't the only company who tries to recreate music to be accurate in length, but sure seems to be the only one picked on.

Further more, b Flat old son. You have in fact made me mad enough to demonstrate what a "no trick" it actually is. www.freewebs.com/sacksonuts bottom of the page the file is called SpeedCDG.exe download it.
This program has only one button on gray background. Click the button and a dialog box opens. Select a known good cdg graphics file and click the open button on the dialog box. Wait a few seconds and close the program. In the same directory with the CDG file you selected you will find a file called Temp.cdg. Rename this file to whatever the original file was named and then play it in whichever player you like.
You'll see the CDG file playing at about a zillion miles an hour because I took the time out of it and left only the graphics. See b Flat, it really is no trick. It's only a trick for those whose thinking processes b Flat.

That's great. But we're not interested in taking all the time out. We need to re-sync the lyrics after editing a specific amount of time out of the music. I don't know of a CDG editor that does that. Do You???

I also know how to remove screens of lyrics from existing commercial CDG's and replace them, and how to make the cdg that pg's looking for. But, see, you *don't* know of a program that does what pg's asking for... so you were full of it when you said there's no trick to it, just like I said you were. Use Tricerasoft (or similar program) to rip to wav+g file.
Use a wave editor to change the music.
Then something like MTU Karaoke Home Producer to resync the lyrics to the new wave file & burn new cdg or bin file to disc.

I wouldn't use Karaoke Home Producer to wrap fish with. I'm not a KJ, and I've never used their hosting programs, but I tried most of their other programs a few years ago and they were all garbage IMO. Karaoke Builder Studio is by far the best program out to create CDG's. And while they offer free upgrades for life, I'm still using a version from a few years ago, because it does everything I want it to do already. They may not advertise in these hallowed halls. Too bad. I call em the way I see em. Lonman, if you're pushing products I know are crap, I can only wonder about any other recommendations you make. exweedfarmer, I still don't see a program that can do what Phil asked for. So why don't you either point one out, create one, or STFU?????? Phil, you started this thread, but there's not been a word from you since. I didn't come here to get into arguments with all the resident geniuses. Y'all knock yourselves out. I have better things to do.

I'm leaving this one up to you cyber-mouth. I have been known to write a little free code for folks on this board, but since you opened your yap saying that I was an illegal drug user (I farmed weeds not weed) and incompetent in my profession, you fix it. Show me up. Go ahead. Just let us know when it's done. We're all waiting to see how wonderful you are I'm sure.

Simply put, you don't have to agree with any of us over anything. Your opinion is yours, but calling folks out like this and being insulting while you do it ain't the way to go making yourself anything OTHER than a F*n troll.
I happen to agree with you on the Karaoke Builder Studio. They're miles above any other karaoke "producer" type of program. But I for one won't be talking to you in the future thanks to your damned attitude!

Well first off, nobody's asking you to take my recommendations - I try to help people, that's it, if you don't want it, don't use it. Simple as that. But just because you personally don't like a product, don't put someone down or question their 'other' recommendations because of it.
As far as a product being crap or not - it's only crap if it doesn't do what you personally need it to do. It fits the bill for my needs & will recommend it any day. Take it or not - no skin off my nose. It's just one of many out there & others will surely recommend other products as well that will do what they need & others will look at all recommendations & decide on their own accord which product will best suit their needs.

I'm sorry about the attitude. It was started by a certain exweedfarmer whom I've seen poison other threads with his acerbic half-wit. But if you agree with that, then how can you badmouth me for my comments to Lonnie? I only catch things he recommends in the few threads I read, which is to say not very much. I'm not a kj. I don't read all the threads on kj equipment. All I know is, I've seen a few recommendations of programs on here that are junk. This one happened to be made by him. And I was in an evil enough mood to say something about it. And I offer no apologies to exweedfarmer. Get a personality, Boy. The one you have sucks. You STILL have offered nothing of value to the guy who started this thread. You call ME a cyber-mouth???? Look in the mirror pal.. if you have any left that aren't broken. I didn't say you were incompetent.... I'm saying you're an a**hole. Good day to you all. I sure don't need this kind of grief for a forum I don't need in the first place.
