If the KJ doesn't let you sing after *asking* you to do the duet, shame on them.

Actually, I do the duet thing just backwards from that.  I think that the ideal is to get the whole bloody bar on stage singing into every mic , mic stand, and ashtray that can be found.  So when the crowd complains, "But she just sang a miniute ago"  I say "Yes, but it was on the other pesons name.  One slip, one name, one song, but you can have anyone you like sing with you."  Ah hah!  Says their drunken little brains and suddenly we have small groups which merge into big groups and people who don't sing are singing.  Then there is dancing.  And then there is my favorite part, flashing!
