Hey Guys I am new to the scene and looking for some good Karaoke software. I would love to be able to raise the vocals on a track to help weaker singers. Is there any software out there that does this?

Specifically I am looking at MTU Hoster and Swift Elite 4. Is there any way to do this with either of these two programs? Overall how would you evaluate them compared to any other solutions out there?

Is there anything else out there that I should know about?

Thoes programs are karaoke hosting appliations mostly used by professional KJs to print song books, keep track  of a rotationj, and song searches.  hey have noting to do with the audio


To raise the vocals on a track, you could use and EQ and increas the bands where the vocals lie a bit.  Or if you are an audio guru, you could edited the track on a PC with some sort of audio software, and raise the vocals.

Othere than using an eq to boost the bands that the vocals are in, it would be fairly difficult to accheive what you want.

If you are using multiplex disc, the vox in the mix is already loud enough. I find them (the vocal)  to be just as loud as any ordinary audio CDs.

I have not find a sotfware player that will incress the vox vol. Eq'ing, as Twan sugested may work.

Shurafa,  though your intentions are good, I would be VERY careful of the application. Many -ahem- less than great singers are unaware that they are, and may take the higher vocals as in insult.

              Another idea:  Have a separate mic hooked up to a vocal mixer  ( I use a Ninja mini-board)  and use it ( without telling the singer ) to bring the singer's vocals on key, and add what other enhancements you can.  They'll sound a bunch better without knowing why, and will wonder why they don't sound as good with other hosts- bringing 'em back to you.....
