Hey Techies,
I know I don't often (if ever) post here - but I have a question.
I am helping out our local Drama Club with a production and they are looking to purchase some equipment.
Anyway - they are interested in the TASCAM CD-X1500 to use.
I would like to know if anyone has experience with this unit.
If they would recommend it or something better.
If you could guide me to where I may be able to purchase for a low price. (Currently I can buy for $449)
SEE it here: http://www.platinum-records.com/TASCAM- ... od7134.htm
Thanks

Phill, I'm just wondering why they didn't opt to go with the more popular numark dual cd.
Is this for karaoke, or just dj stuff?

Neither actually.
It is for drama productions where they need to cue (que?) up music for each number.

Actually this is being run through a large mixer and amp - the stage has several speakers including front monitors.
They need a system that can be used quite a bit and is able to be transported as well. We are probably going to rack mount the system along with the other components.
Just wanted some feedback on this item and possible alternatives - as well as where to purchase them for less. We are also looking to purchase mics but more on that later...
Thanks again.
