I found a site that sells SoundChoice CD+G for $5. I ordered a bunch and not sure about legality but it's seems all good. They claim they buy clearance from store getting rid of inventory. I will keep you informed when the discs arrive if it's good. If you want the URL, you can PM me. They don't have all the discs but they had a lot of selection.

I've bought tons of SC discs for $4.99 off of e-bay. All brand new originals. SC has stated that they do sell off overstocked & slow movers in large bulks to wholesalers such as these. Biggest problem I found is that many of these sellers have pretty much the same stock - because they are all slow movers or overstocks.

That may be true Lonman, but I found a ton of discs I wanted and they offered 5% discount over $100. They also have set shipping for all orders, I think $4.95, and over certain amound the shipping was free. It's not a bad deal, their selection is better than most of ebay people as well. For ebay, each disc would cost me about $5 to ship.

I purchased some SC discs from an e-bay wholesaler for less than $5 each (60 for $229, $3.81 each). He listed the disc numbers and everything. The discs came brand new and all are authentic and work great.
I knew these were all older discs and slow-movers, but for the price figured I could replace some crappier versions of older songs with SC versions, and pick up some new songs along the way!
I am sure we ordered from the same guy...

I have noticed that a track can appear on multiple SC disks.
I understand why.
Are they always the same, or do some versions vary.

Unfortunatly its a pointless question.
Assides from the fact that it would be a drop in the oceon,
(god, wish I could spell) Morells would soon be dropped when customers start complaining.
Does the customer care that you are taking a moral stance.
They may aplaude you and then go and find another KJ.
Unfortunatly you are driven to a large extent by your customers.
Dont you just wish life was fair.

Have anyone purchased download from buykaraoke.com before?
I was wondering about the quality. I am not super picky. I have downloaded some from CAV (Panorama ) and have been very pleased. But they don't have some of the songs I am looking for.
Thanks!!

Just thought I'd give public thanks to eben for letting us know about this deal. After going to the URL he mentioned I noticed that it said they had a brick-and-mortar retailer in my town. It turned out to be about two blocks from where I work. I just went down there and got three SC discs, all for $5 each. The selection's not as good as on the internet, but considering there's no shipping, no minimum purchase, and no waiting until they arrive, it's a pretty good deal.
The guy running the shop (which stocks other stuff besides CDs) turned out to be a big karaoke fan and we talked for about 15 minutes. He said he sells a lot to local KJs, and he said the KJs don't like to let the word get out about the cheap CDGs because they want the competitive advantage of getting cheap, quality CDs that other KJs don't know about. Heh heh heh.
I'm sure I'll be a repeat customer at that place.

Well, you are welcome guys and gals. I am glad you got some good discs out of the deal. My philosophy about keeping secrets about these deal is the it's all about karma. There is no reason to keep something good a secret. More I share, it will all come back to me in another form. Have fund with the discs. I am going to order some more in a few weeks.

one of my discs is screwed up, I will send them an email about it. audiograbber recognizes them only as data files, I have never seen this before. the other 33 discs were fine, this one is ornry! anybody know what causes this? the disc looks brand new, everything seems fine. hmmmmmmm

It may be one that was manufactured with "mediaclog"
Does the Disc #start 87xx? If so, chances are you've been zapped by mediaclog. The disc will work on a deck but not with a computer.

Eric, many discs were reprinted during the time of Mediacloq.
I got one in the 8200 range, and one in the 8300!

no way! it is 8721 journey vs foreigner. good call eric. ummm, circle of deals is sending me another disc, they were real cool. well, do you think that one has a chance of working? is there anyway I can shuffle the data around and get it to play off the harddrive? maybe if I can get it on my harddrive with another program I can do someting with it, but right now I'm drawing a blank. what is the point of mediaclog. trying to stop us pirates that pay for every single song we have on our computers? small rant. thanks - jim
amazingly good call, 8721.

from circle of deals, he is correct on all counts. these guys are cool though.
"Actually we did some more research, and it looks like certain CDGs can not be played on PCs or DVD Players, were you trying to play it on a PC or DVD Player? The CDs that are like this have a label on the front of them, which is on the 8721 Disc. It seems like they are mostly on Disc manufactured around that time. Anyway we can still send you another Disc, however it this is the problem, it will not change the outcome. Please let us know what you think and if you find out anything on this issue. Personally I DON'T have a CLUE why they would do this, I play my Karaoke on a Karaoke Player, but would not mind using a PC and wouldn't be happy if this happened to me. WOW"
