I get what everyone is saying, and it slipped by me that my voice is really altered from step one...the microphone. My reasoning tells me a poor mic will not include all aspects of your voice, may even distort it. Then of course your voice goes from analog to digital back to analog again...who knows whatz happening....
I wonder, those mics that cost 1000 or 2000, are they at that price level because they are capable of delivering your natural voice, or do they cost more for other reasons??????

The top line vox mic always add color to the vox; it is in many cases a wanted feature of a vox mic. The measurement mic have a ruler flat frequency respond curve, but you would not want to sing with that.
