Is there a type of software that will work with a sound card for real time vocal effects such as reverb and chrousing and so forth...Something that would work with any type of recording software...I have been recording on Singshot.com but I would like to have some type of software that will apply on the fly effects, not something that I have to record and then edit the file with afterwards. Something that works like Morphvox or Voice Changer,u know apply the effects over internet chat or in whatever software im using on the fly. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have racked my brain trying to find something.

What sound card are you using? If you use SB live the mixer sofware that come with it can do the job.
If you want something better then E-MU 1616 sound card can be of great help.

I do not work for Adobe

You may like to try the Adobe Audition trial.
Previously known as Cool Edit.
It is a full pro audio studio.
It's not cheep though.

I tried the trial version a couple of years back.
Had to buy it.

Yeah, you have loads of FX, multitracking,
you can even edit out bad notes.

As you can see, I kind of like it.

Cool Edit will do the job. Adding efx on the fly will require a fast pc. Give it a shot and see if your pc can handle it.

Just checked it out.
I have cool edit pro v2. which does it.
I assumed that Adobe would keep that function.
They didnt.
Cool edit is no longer in production.
I did however find a site where you can download it.
Would probably not cost much.

In multitrack view, click on a channels FX box.
A window opens, click the + next to delay effects.
Choose your weopens and Click add.
I have never used it myself. I only ever record dry vocals
and put the fx on afterwards.
You may have to put it in record mode for it to work.
(The oblong box under file toggles between multitrack and edit view)

I am not quite sure what you want. You said you want to record with efx on the fly. And then record the recording into and other recording program??? Why?

maybe what you need is a small mixer with a built-in efx for your vocal.

See what your getting at.
Jians recomendation above works well.
Antares AVOX is the sort of thing your looking for. Expensive...
There are a lot of inexpensive DSP's about.
