Quote: IT'S NOT REAL!!
That's what YOU think ! They said that about Chucky too, as well as Cujo, Candyman, Salems Lot, Pet Sematary, that Last house on the left, The Hand that Rocked the Cradle, and Rosemary's Baby  but, the movies are based on actual events not unlike what happened to Beavis when he pulled the T-shirt over his head and ran around in school because he had too much sugar, and that time he said "Say hello to our good friend Butthead everybody" (when he was sitting in for Letterman, and flipped that pencil getting it stuck in buttheads eye socket !) I can't believe how many people were laughing :( If these weren't true events then WHY else would I still be awake
OR ?
Seriously though. A concept, display that's just an act need not be "real" to bring about feelings of discomfort in the viewer. Hollywood and Art Museums thrive on this. I'm still traumatized over Max Headroom LOL

COOL ??
That was 1997. Allie McBeal was also told to get rid of THAT baby. and somebody knew something you folks didn't. They were correct because it's now 2007. THAT BABY should be ten years old now...but nope...LOOK AT IT  It's A MONSTER I TELL YOU ! It's still wearing diapers, and doing backflips off've blocks, and it dances to funk and disco.

Stephen imagine an army of those dancing zombie babies coming at you, down the street of your city. What you are currently unaware of is when they get close they have these really sharp, pointed teeth - kind of like that clown in the Stephen King novel 'It'. They're dancing, cause they know how good you are going to taste when they eat you! Imagine this is an army of dancing babies....

I think I'd rather see the Cumulo-Nimbus conditions in your avatar approaching me Bill. Even with a fantom F-6

Speaking of not sleeping...I had a really weird dream last night. I was driving down a highway with my parents in the car near Abilene, Tx and Dyes Air Force Base. Off to the side (I think south) there was a large wedge tornado inbound. I was trying to point it out to my parents cause it was wicked looking. I turned my head and when I looked back the tornado was gone, but a large aircraft like a B52 was taking off on the runway. After it cleared the runway and was beginning to fly off a large missle starting streaking skyward from the base straight up into the sky (not toward the airplane). Next there was a brilliant flash of light as I realized we were all dying - being incinerated in an atomic explosion from an attack on the base. In the second that transpired I thought 'Ok, now I get to find out what comes after. Will there be an after?'. A moment or two later I called out 'Mom...Dad?'. They answered and all was well. Turns out we were in what appeared to be the stairs to something like a fancy hotel such as the Hilton. We would go up to a room, and we could go down to another room. And that was about it. There were other people there too. It was weird I didn't know if we were waiting for something, or what. I didn't know how long we would wait - forever? How long is forever when you don't have any way of tracking time or telling what time it is?
I had other dreams last night as well. Some were some pretty wild tornado dreams. I have pretty darn wild tornado dreams since I chase them and experience them close up. It gets pretty freaky sometimes.

Bill, Sounds as though you folks had thunderstorm activity last night. Or something created a loud noise while you were asleep. Closest I get to storm-chasing is reading about those of you that do it. Some of the stories of individuals in the belt making the mistake of going into alcoves in highway overpasses. Have you ever gotten within a few miles of an actual Tornado while spotting or chasing..
This was interesting.

Mid-west---> Gulf area---> and southern new england (as bizarre as that sounds).. Australia also gets considerable twister activity too.

Steven Kaplan @ Tue Jan 30, 2007 10:25 pm wrote: Have you ever gotten within a few miles of an actual Tornado while spotting or chasing.. Oh yeah, numerous times. You really have to get close to have really good footage. I've nearly driven into them, and had them so large they took up most of my front windshield (left <-> right) and the entire side window as well. That usually means you are too close. LMAO The closer you get the more fascinating (and terrifying) they become. Steven Kaplan @ Tue Jan 30, 2007 10:25 pm wrote: Yeah that's Chuck Doswell. He's a very well known chaser / severe meteorologist in the chase community. I don't know him personally, but my chase partner Gene Moore knows him well. Doswell, has written many brilliant works on severe meteorology. It's pretty long haired stuff with lots of higher math and physics, but I sometimes try and understand it.
