All the US football fans know the big game is coming up.....
What are your plans....? I'm rooting for the team with the prettiest uniforms!
Personally, we'll be watching the game while attending our annual Ground Hog Celebration with friends. We designed a board game around the movie and will be playing, Sonny & Cher's "I've got you Babe", in the background. The winner of the board game gets to take the 2 foot tall Groundhog Puppet home till next year.
What are your plans?
Do you enjoy the commercials as much as the game ?

We plan on cooking ribs and hotwings, playing poker and watching the game. They'll all be drinking beer except for me. I may take a celebratory shot when the Colts win.

My plans are the same as in past years. Super Bowl happens, while I do something else oblivious to the names of the teams competing in the event. Sports activities are things I enjoy participating in.. Unlike Musical concerts in genre's I enjoy however WATCHING non-extreme sports bores the $(#% out've me. Too slow and boring to watch for me. I don't support how big such activities have become in many nations. I don't share the interest and support sports by contributing revenue to it. I'd rather see Highschools ax SOME of the money they pour into sports, and put more money into Arts and Sciences.. Theatre, music instruction, etc. Sports in those that participate may be good for about 10 more years of their life (at the HighSchool) level, Then what good does it do these kids ? They have orthopedic aches and pains, suffer with back and neck probs and become what, Couch potato's ?
If schools allocated money in a more sensible manner, they'd all have electric guitars and drumsets instead and be making noise bothering their neighbor. An activity and skill most can enjoy and participate in well into their 60's

How fun! I loved that movie 'Groundhog Day'.. how is it played? I think that's a great idea for a get-together. It's those traditions that make events like that fun. I just enjoy getting together with friends and family for the occassion and perhaps joining in on the pool.
I personally don't care for football but my friends and family love it so I will be somewhere in the vicinity of the TV watching it. I like the commercials, but halftime is what I really look forward to. Last year the Stones.... this year Prince... should be a good one! Think he'll flash a nipple?

Hi Sherre,
Ooooh Prince's nip....I don't know if that's a good thing or not  But watching the half time show is like watching the 4th corner at NASCAR! And this year we have TIVO! So let the accidents happen, we're ready!
The Groundhog Day game came into creation due to not being able to get together with friends over the holidays, and getting burned out over the whole holiday season thing. We decided to pick a holiday that hasn't been over done and move our gig there.
Even though we still celebrate the holidays, we look forward to our Groundhog Day celebration cause it's just goofy enough to be fun.
We designed a board game based on the movie... the first half of the board, you end up possibly landing on the 'bad things' as the character in the movie...and then you have the opportunity to redeem yourself ....it's pretty straight from the movie. The loop of "I got you babe" in the background adds a bit of annoying fun to the game. When someone lands on something good, we have another little animated singing groundhog that sings "I'm Alright"....We give gifts and everything!
I'll watch the game if it's a close one but the commercials are more entertaining to me. Still it's an opportunity for friends and food and although the athletes are over paid primadonas...ya gotta go with the flow sometimes.

We're going to record the game on the DVR so we can be sure to see the halftime show and all of the commercials. I might even get into the game near the end if it's close.

I think.....
I'll spend the day in my music room doing karaoke.
*not a superbowl fan*
Now, if it were NASCAR.... different story. I love to watch men who drive fast cars:)

I took Sunday off from Motorola/Continental. (World's worst job!)
I intend to start auctions for the 500 or so Peyton Manning rookies I have in my collection and get rid of them once and for all. I'm going to make the velveeta/Rotel cheese dip and drink either Sam Adams Lager or Sam Adams Ale and be All I can Be! (All day long!)
Then I may go to Sunday night karaoke in Austin if I get a wild hair! :drunk:

I'm actually looking more forward to Billy Joel singing the National Anthem. Anyone that has seen him before knows even when he's sober he likes to curse...
".....and the home of the braaaaaaaaavvvvveeeeee. Now don't take no sh@! from anyone!"
