Sorry guys but when it gets this slow...
Nearly all DSP's are midi controllable.
Someone on this forum has written a program that plays or records a midi file when the CDG or audio starts.
In record mode while the song is playing you can switch your Effects unit to make the echo come on when you want, off when you want and use various effects throught the song.
This program would allow those effects to be recorded to a midi track.
Once recorded, every time you play that track, all the effects you previously
selected would happen as they did when you recorded it.
Do we have any interest in this...

Yes, it would be interesting to see how well it controls my old Quadraverb... the problem is that I don't have a midi controller on my laptop, nor the cable to connect one to the old Quad if I did.
I would still like to know more, though.

No problem,
You can get a USB to Midi convertr.
A Cheaper option would however be
A USB to joystick lead and a joystick to midi lead.
Used to have one of those quads, liked it.

Gosh, you do appear to take life very seriously.
You seem to have totally missed the ground breaking
development contained within this thread.
In all seriousness...
If I had considered anyone could be offended by this
I would never have posted it.
It was merely making a statement that things were slow.

I agree with Knight. There is a section called the lounge for non tech posts. It's created after many of the off topic posts were cluttering the "serious" sections. What you seem to be missing Jerry is that some people, this is their living. Karaoke is not a hobby but a way to make a living. They take it very serious and they take this section serious. That doesn't mean they have no sense of humor, they just express it in the right area, like the Lounge.

Eben, I am so sorry to upset your sensibilities.
Would you please be so kind as to go through the thread
and comment on the really interesting part.
I would really welcome your opinion.
No catch.

While I really really hate to admit it.
No I mean HATE to admit it.
Knight and Eben do have a very good point.
I will post the tech part of this topic in a fresh topic.
named 'R&D help required.'
Please do not post in this topic.
Please let it die and slip away.
My appologies for any inconvience caused.
