I feel as you do Gilly. It's like a nightmare of sorts. A bad acid trip. There's just something very BIZARRE about it
I suppose these things depend on our brain chemistry or something,,, THIS type of thing is the reason I never took a hallucinogen (and I've indulged at some point or another in most classes of drugs) but I freak out easily !! What some might find to be just "a trip", cute, or "cool" would land me in a locked ward someplace freakin out the rest of my life LOL There's just something about the dancing baby stuff that's like a nightmare, or a psychotic episode..
Here's some food for thought tho.
WHAT is it about us individually as people that enable some of us to feel as CCindy, Kelley and a few of you do... meaning :that's cute:, and a few of us such as myself and Gilly feel immediately that "THAT is just TOO weird", to the point of scary !! and Gilly is far more adventurous as a person than many people I know are, meaning she's creative and open to different ideas, concepts, and not a rigid person like I might be considered. I however tend to be a somewhat change resistant in some ways.. So I think this goes beyond just basic personality trait... I just find it interesting that why this is cute to some, and scary to others might not be such an obvious part of our makeup.

Hmm..... I think it follows along the lines of...... think of scary movies that involve children... they are ALWAYS more freaky than any other horror movie, with NO children.... Little kids, dolls (chucky) etc, ALWAYS freak me out in horror movies (even though i love horror movies)..... So, when I see the dancing baby.. I dunno, it kinda scares me.... because it is something a baby CAN"T, and ISN"T supposed to do. I guess, if it can dance around like that, maybe it is going to crawl over and gouge out my eyes... or eat my brain or something.. , ok, now i def. sounds nuts:)
But then, this is coming from the person who is afraid of fish:) I am a super anxious person with a ridiculous imagination.. so pretty much ANYTHING can be freaky to me. Sky is a lot like me too, she thinks Wendy (like the burger place) the character is freaky... Lol:) Justin (my hubby) doesn't find the dancing baby creepy, he simply thinks it is pointless and stupid, about as far from entertaining as possible... but, def. not cute:) He is my exact opposite though. COMPLETELY logical, and predictable:)
Rambling..... And none of it came out the way I wanted it too, either. I think you will understand anyways Steven:)

Same here, and seeing a baby move like that seriously F's up my brainwaves LMAO.. That's exactly it, A baby IS NOT designed to get all funky, and dance to disco, cha cha, or get into anything like that... It changes it's status from baby to MONSTER
It's sort've what I'd expect in a Springer episode shown in one of those whacky Churches where people fall all over the floor and are "slain in the name of the spirit" or whatever that term is... Some 3 month old infant hops out've it's stroller, and starts break dancing in the name of the lord

OMG Kappy and Gilly ..... the things you just said about that dancing baby made me laugh out loud ..... LOL
I think because it IS so UNREAL, I can find it cute!! Trust me, I too am a very very anxious person with a VIVID imagination and I have "visions" AND dreams that far to frequently come true. Trust me, the last one I had that came true was NOT what I wanted. I didn't sleep for three days after it!
*Yes, Yes ....... call me a freak .... but it is very true.*
I AVOID horror movies ...... as a rule. I've watched a few all the way thru .... Firestarter, Audrey Rose, Exorcist, The Omen ...... but I simply will NOT watch Chucky or any of his buddies, Freddie, Jason ..... you know, the "crew".
I love things with a furturistic or supernatural twist to them .... but not in the genre of 'horror'.
Hope you can sleep, Kappy!! And you too, Isis!!!
Jump out of a stroller and gouge out your eyes..... MAO.... excuse me for a moment, I need to use the facilities.

When I was really little, I had a "corky" doll. It talked and it was robotic, and it's eyes and mouth moved. When I was a little kid, my mom let me watch childs play... apparently she didn't KNOW it wasn't for kids.... , after that, i made my mom take Corky out of my room at night..... I SWORE it was going to get me, like Chucky...
Even now, i HATE talking/moving dolls. My mom gave Skylah the new "Baby Alive" for xmas... I don't know if anyone has SEEN it, but holy heck it is freaky. I made her return it. GD creepy thing.

Quote: I think because it IS so UNREAL, I can find it cute!! Don't fall for that CCindy ! It's all a disquise to make it's way past your door ! Once it's in your house things will be VERY VERY different   :O Those cute little chimps that ripped a guys fingers and testicles off were "cute" too !!! Never fall for the "cute disquise", You won't even see the baby changing expressions when it's mood swings to helion, and you see how "needy" and "angry" it REALL is! Quote: BTW Kappy.. Thanks I am sure I will be dreaming of this crazy baby tonight....Since my meds are giving me very vivid dreams.
I don't mind vivid dreams. Unless of course they are vivid "bad trips" and/or "nightmares" those are scary. I was at this other site where instead of a dancing baby, the thing is doing flips off've platforms and gymnastics too... Now considering it's in diapers and incontinent, thats DAMN good muscle control... For some reason Chris Farley as a Chippendale dancer with Patrick Swazy was funny; THAT baby however.... Well.... I never watched Rosemary's Baby or the Exorcist because I'm afraid of seeing occult paranormal-types of poltergeist thingies like that baby LOL If you are in the same room as a baby like that.... THe cabinets will fly open and slam shut by themselves, your cat will start rapping to eminem, and you'll feel some invisible force heavy on your chest making it tough to breath as the words
"Hold me Tight" mommy reverberate thru the whole house... water will start filling the room you are in, and the doors will lock so you can't escape as droplets of blood ooze from the electrical outlets, and drip from you ceiling light fixture.... The baby's mouth will start smiling really wide to reveal only 3 missing teeth, others will exist but they will be jagged and chipped... (even though a baby that age isn't supposed to have teeth at all). The baby will also be able to swim in that water that slowly fills the room and mixes with the red blood...

They have a baby like that in a commercial on TV and it makes my husband cringe every time it comes on... he has to cover his eyes! I doesn't really bother me too much so I hafta laugh at him. LOL
Speaking of Cris Farley..... I sure miss that guy.

All that creepy doll stuff started out with the classic Twilight Zone episode with Telly Savalas, "Talking Tina".
"My name is talking Tina and I'm going to kill you."
(Telly even had hair, but not much) :O
