Howdy. Sorry I haven't been more active on the boards as of late, but my world has been pretty hectic for the past month. So I thought I'd just bring you up to date.

On Dec.27th, I moved into a new bar that opened at the largest Marina in my area.
They are a full restaurant with a bar entrance on the side of the building. They have a full deck at the pool area, with 80 cabins to rent. During the season they are one of the busiest marinas in the area.
I have my own booth area back behind the bar with two monitors for singers/audience to view from. I work 5 nights a week and have been given the position of asst. bar manager along with my dj/Karaoke Host duties. So basically I now work a full time job at the marina bar.
We are in the plans to construct a booth area next to the bar itself which would put me in my own section  with an access window to my audience and a door of which I would be the only person with a key. I'm not too keen on being being somewhat separated in direct contact with the audience, but due to the growth of the crowds and the need for additional space behind the bar, it may become neccesary.
So this all means, no more lugging equipment around, setup/breakdown, I have a permanent home and a vested interest in the bar itself. The owners are great and have been very responsive to all of my suggestions. I have to admit that it is all a bit overwhelming considering I have been doing Karaoke Hosting for less than a year.
I know I've somewhat condensed a lot of info into a couple of paragraphs, but in short, everything is great and to ask for more at this point would be selfish. I'm just glad to see that all of my hard work has paid off and what I had planned as a two year goal has happened in a matter of months.
I am thankful for all the blessings that have been given to me, and while I fully understand that nothing is certain, never take things for granted, I am enjoying the moment to it's fullest.

P.S. for the ladies some bad news, I cut off all my hair and am now a cleancut citizen of the community. I'll try to get a pic posted soon of my new look....
But never fret, I'm still the same ole lustful perv that I've always been, just a little less scary looking.

I'm so happy for you James!!! But did you have to cut your hair? You just broke my heart. I don't know if I'll ever be able to look at you again!!

Congrats James.  I'm glad to hear things are going well.

On the hair thing, I usually get a second look when I'm asked why I keep my hair cut so short (buzz cut) and I respond with 'Easier to wash other people's blood out.'

Thanks folks......and ladies, the hair cut was a personal choice. No one ask me to, that's not how I live my life. I don't change for other people, I do it for myself and myself alone. When people say why, I say why not. After you've had the same look for most of your life, sometimes it's good just to stir things up a bit. It keeps folks guessing.
I will have to admit that it took about 10 years off of my appearance though and when you hit 50, hey that's a good thing.

Good to hear that, James!

Took a day off of regular karaoke this past Sat. to do a wedding reception in Cleveland, TN (more $$$), and passed right by your exit. If it wasn't for the fact that it was about 11:45 before we got packed up and left the Holiday Inn, we might've been able to stop by and harass you at your place. Would've cruised around marinas 'til we found it!
