I want to back-up my neo-g disk but don't know what read/write equipment to use. Can I use my neo-g karaoke player to read and record it on another unit in CD-G or other format?

As of yet there is no software for NEO+G.  There is a convertor for $39 for SuperCD+G made by RoxBox.

Thanks. I just figured out how to retrieve your reply. I just sent you a message that you can disregard. Will this converter allow me to record/download to my computer or record tunes in other than neo-g that will play on most other players?

It is sometimes difficult for a newbie to get any help!
Thanks. Nallimon

As danny says there is no software available yet to copy the Neo Format.

The software he mentions just changes the format but does not copy to CDR

Most newbies get plenty of help here as far as I can see.

Sometimes it has alot to do with what type of question is asked...for example if it is more mainstream then usually the responses are very quick to come, however if the question is off beat then it may take a little more time. Your question regarding NEO is somewhat offbeat as it is a format that few people use for professional use. Also once NEO becomes a more popular format you will find software more readily available. Many of the software companies will not spend the $'s to develop software to copy a particular format until it has proven to be popular.

I have been able to successfully copy NEO-G discs using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 basic edition. I have a terrible memory and there was some hitch but I think I had to click on  'copy data disc' instead of 'copy DVD'.  I am using a Plextor px755sa drive.  I also had sucess at my folks house making copies using Nero7 but I couldn't tell you what kind of DVD drive they have. Bottom line is it can be done. I have two backups of each NEO-g disc one set I made and the other done at the folks house on totally different devices.
