Swift Elite 3.0 offers remote requests, though it is over 3 times the cost of RoxBox or Sox o Nuts.

Another thought is the ability to print out a singer history for a singer if they wanted...
It used to be it was all singing... Now its streamling and providing basic customer service and relations the way every other sucessfull business does.. And people are getting used to them too Consider the digital photo stations all over now...

AutoKDJ has the ability to display that information.. not sure it could print it, but I am sure it would be easy enough to do.

Is that the same plugin that we used at the big party recently, where I was singing Judas Priest and ACDC?
I really liked that plugin. I hope I can run it in WINE on a linux box.

Yes, and since then they have gone from Alpha to Beta. This means that bugs will start disappearing form the program. On the Ice day Isis and Phatrat and I played with it a bit. They put in all their requests from the front end application installed on their laptops (a small executable and a .ini file), while I ran the show from mine. Still some pauses in the CDG screens when doing searched, but not nearly as bad, and that is one of the things that the developers are working on rectifying.

Another hairbrained idea I had was they come in with a few songs on a flash drive Mount it it identifies them puts the songs in their pool puts a txt file with their singer history advises them of schedules and special events etc.. We get to talking in bars about this stuff and people laugh but its not that far fetched

I like that idea Ollie. It makes perfect sense. If you have a businees you need to get the word out.

Right...and that text file could serve as a "cookie" of sorts, so that the next time the customer comes in and hands you that drive, the computer could then recognize who it belongs to and, optionally cue their favorite songs into the rotation.

I just took all of the music we have on karaoke right now and dropped it into Winamp. From there I was able to create a playlist that I could paste into Excell so my baby could put it into the database.
I like Winamp. The autokdj is the ultimate plugin to add.
