I've done a search on "Points" to no avail...wondering what's the point thingie all about?

How do you get points? What do you do with them? What do you enjoy about them? Why would someone want points?

You get them by making posts here...

Go to "forum shop" on the left (in the black area, above where you click "log in")

Here you can change your name, color & highlight your name, pick a title (that you see UNDER people's names)..... stuff like that:)

P.hill has promised a new Mustang to the one with the most points, but I think he was just bluffing......  LMAO



You also have to "buy" the right to have an avatar, I think it's 25 points.

And, if someone else is in need of points, you can donate them. I just recently wiped out my own points changing my name & the color of it, so now Charmin is flat broke:)

I bought the bar he setup elsewhere.  Should I bring it in here ?   I wish along with accrued points (from that other place) that that were an option.

I've seen points here and there attached to peoples profiles...but you're telling me that there's no other info about them to be found?  The one answer I got was "it"? No one knows about points other than what Emerald offered?

Starlight, click on "Forum Shop" on the left in the box labeled "Member Area".  It will show you what you can spend your points on.  From avatars to fancy text options.  Hope that helps.

Yes, that little tidbit is about all I can offer you regarding points. There's no rulebook on it or anything. As both dsharrow and I pointed out... head into the forum shop to see what all you can do with them. It's not alot, just a fun little extra P.hill put here for us.

There was a guitar in there about a year ago... a really nice vintage Martin, but I bought that already.  So to Milo & Steven.  All that's left to buy currently is names, pics, and colors.

Starlight, Welcome... I hope you got your question answered.  yOU CAN ALSO WIN POINTS BY PLAYING THE LOTTERY.. It is also on the left in the black box.  Personally I give points to the needy and to the newbies....  Not really anything I would wanna buy extra at this point...

I was at a party last week, and I tried to pick up women with my usual line "You want to come back to my place and see my points?" but these aren't even good for that purpose  :(  This is starting to look depressing.  Only thing that scares me more than dying a lonely cumudgian, is ending up a cumudgian "with points all my own sitting way up high."

well someone did suggest to me last week or the week before that I might like to start a points scholarship...we could perhaps do this together Kappy

and every so often we award a scholarship of points to the most deserving of the underprivileged

Problem is,  I can't donate my points.  Assuming I attempt to donate 500 I get a message "You can not donate that amount of points to this member"

I tried to donate to Babs the other day and I didnt get any message but then I didnt see any reduction in points so I dont think it worked and I havent seen her to ask her

I hope she's OK.  Although she went on a cruise about a year ago.  She mentioned she was going last year in the room.  I don't recall her mentioning she was going away this time.  Haven't seen her in about 2 weeks, although I'm not certain just how long it's been
