LMAO

I like the second to last picture where she's doing her wolf impersonation. For a dog she's pretty adorable.

Gilly and Crystal in the snow eh? (Oops I'm speaking Canadian) Anyway seems like y'all been away for awhile. Or perhaps it was me - LOL!

We don't usually get a lot of actual snow in Central Tx. We usually just get ice storms with freezing rain, snow pellets, and sleet. This stuff is tough to drive in, but without all the equipment around here to sand the roads an help melt or grate it things come to a stand still. Well, that and everybody is always looking for a reason to take off.

Global warming? Yes, it can still get cold and snow with global warming. These are general longer term trends and something called variability which is a main component of weather can cause abrupt changes even in a trend. There are also feedback mechanisms and localized changes due to global warming that aren't necessarily obvious.

However I will say (as I recall) when I was a kid in Texas usually it was fairly cold sweater to coat weather from Oct to until March. For the last 10 to 15 years I've been able to wear shorts almost every day during that time period. This of course isn't necessarily a guarantee of global warming...it could be some type of shot term cycle similar to the 30 to 50 year hurricane active cycle.

Hmm....well, I guess I got off on all that weather stuff. Anyway 'Hi', and stay warm.

Actually... I stand out like a sore thumb now when i say "Eh", or "Wa"...:) Heck they don't even sing Oh Canada in schools here!:) (They do in EVERY OTHER SCHOOL... elsewhere. It must be a Quebec thing, eh?.. oops, off topic)

I grew up in Nova Scotia. Surrounded by water like that it meant mild summers (NEVER HOT), and mild winters (RARELY cold). We had a couple blizzards mind ya, that trapped me in my house for a week. (The road wasn't plowed for that long:) And as a Kid, we had a few storms that covered my neighbors cars. (The way the show blew (we lived in boonieville FARM country) meant we didn't get snow in OUR yard, but the neighbors got our drifts:) Anyways,  It is hard there... most of the time there isn't enough snow to ski til FAR into January. HERE at least we get to ski ALL the time.... but, it is TOO COLD! Sky would freeze her nose off!

Here is the forecast for today--
Wind chill warning in effect.
Today
Sunny with cloudy periods. Wind west 20 km/h gusting to 40. High minus 20. Extreme wind chill minus 39.

Nice pics.  And gorgoeus dog Chuck!  We usually have a pretty decent snow by now.  But actually we only got the first real snow the last couple of days.  It was so pretty outside.  Snow perfectly falling, big flakes and clinging to the trees.  How pretty is that?  The onlt thing that would have made it better would have been if I was watching it from my own yard, and not the window of the workplace!!!! Yuk!
