Quote: thanks guys, but I'm a big girl and can stand on my own two feet. I have my views on stuff, and I'm not afraid to stand my ground.
And THIS is why I like you !!! Im like that too I say what needs to be said & if it causes an uproar oh friggin well !! Things need to be fair & honest here & there is alot of bickering lately (myself included, but not by choice,I was thrust into drama I had no business at all being in , I felt wronged. I just wanted my opinion on the subject to be known...& it was...and that was my right as a member here as it is others right too when they feel they have been wronged. As for the picking sides thing, this is human guys we ALL do it at one time or another. We ALL have our own views on whats right & whats not. Cant we all agree to disagree & ignore the people who wrong us ? I am finding it very hard myself as I have seen this kinda thing happen over & over here. I hope admin is watching these threads & taking note on how things are & hopefully trying to think of a way to rectify the situations like the ones lately when they arise...Seems like these things can be fixed real quick-like if they wanted to.Sometimes people need disciplined to make sure they know where the boundries of communications are.

Then people with their panties in a bunch would maybe GET the critique they need to hear, but could choose wether others read it or not.
Ok, then instead of a DELETE COMMENT button, maybe we could have a PREVIEW COMMENT button. Same principal, you get to select the comments you want viewed. Does that work for everyone and could it feasibly be implemented? Still waitin' on Phill's input.

Now...I've seen this problem with critiques since my beginning of time here and I'm sure it existed before then...I don't think anything will ever change or get resolved. I said it on one of the subs and I'll say it again. You have to be in right frame of mind to both critique and to receive critique. If both worlds are the same, it's a perfect world....otherwise they collide.
I have an idea that I think may at least keep things a little happier around here. What if the singer had the option of deleting the comments they don't want? Just nip it in the bud before it gets heated. Hey, on myspace you can do this and the comments are supposed to be from your friends. So...what do you think?
That is a great idea Luly.

E.J. McGinley @ Wed Jan 17, 2007 4:01 am wrote: Charmin,
I enjoy reading what others think about my singing. As I’ve said on numerous occasions in one way or another, “no one on this site can hurt my feelings – period!” In order for them to do so, I have to let them. I don’t care if the person is a professional or just a casual listener, I enjoy reading their comments. When it comes to music, what I like and dislike is subjective, a person may be the best singer in the world but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to care for his voice or the way he presents a song. On the other hand, (darn I really like singing that song), someone could be the worst singer in the word and I may enjoy his singing - depends on my mood.
I have noticed that the individuals in showcase have at least one set method of critiquing. When I sub a song that is really bad, such as my last sub, (I even tried to delete it immediately after posting), I will have listens and no comments. Once again I may be wrong, but to me this equates to “they don’t want to hurt my feeling.” Like mama said, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything.
I still can’t believe how sensitive some of the individuals are on this forum. For myself, I find this rather disconcerting so rather than get taken into all of this squabble I’m directing all my effort into becoming a professional snogger. Milo, Kelly, Luly and Morgan have assured me that in time I will definitely attain my goal.
Love ya girl,
Jackson
Jackson do you need more practise before you take the snog exam? I am offering and my rates are reasonable
