Uh maggots as pets :O
I'm sorry, I'm gonna stick to my adorable little bunnies. Much cuter and they like to cuddle. They also don't usually make me want to vomit just by looking at them.

Quote: '71 Ford Torino GT
My first car was a "72 Torino sport. Loved that car, but hated it's being so front heavy in winters with slippery roads ! That car ended up in the guardrails off roadside MORE than on one occassion. Good thing there were no cliffs, or drop-offs into water... The car just didn't stay on the slippery roads. Couldn't handle being so front heavy ! Visibility out've the rear was lousy too since the rear window was so high and small... Besides that, when I wasn't using a dent puller, bondo, and doing body work on it, I loved it !

The usual traditional stuff.. Sit around, occassionally hide under the bed if the doorbell rings, and just wait for it to pass !
Like the holidays, certain days were more fun when we were younger IMO... Now while they can be fun, I have SO much going on, I don't have a chance (other than escaping in here) to even take a deep breath, and think straight.

like me and needles...it was urgent for me to have my gallbladder removed 3 years ago but they wouldnt do the operation and have me wake without a drip in my arm
convulsions arent good for internal stitches so I still have the gallbladder and the doc still tells me I will die if it bursts

Well, My prob might also be gall-bladder, but I won't even go to a doc. I don't like them. In fact I'm scared of them too.. Not sure how many died of burst gall-bladders prior to modern medicine. Appendix perhaps, but not sure it was common for a gall bladder to rupture. I don't recall however. The Spleen is very delicate and vulnerable, gall bladder ? Somewhat more protected, and even when there're problems, I'm not sure the necessity of removing it.... but again, I'm like you..... and how about dentists ?

Quote: and how about dentists ?
Dont get me started on dentists ( well actually you just did ) I have spent thousands of $ on my teeth !! I have had root canals & porcelien (sp?) crowns put on a few of them I spent 1500$ on one tooth...the one I had pulled on Tuesday !! I was eating a jolly rancher & the crown just came right off with the candy stuck to it like it was just stuck on there or something...I decided Im just gonna get it pulled rather than spend another 500$ on a porcelien crown...Ive had trouble with my teeth ever since my car wreck, so many antibiotics & meds can harm your teeth badly. I hate to say it but Im ready for the false teeth already !! !! Im sick of forking out $ just to have the tooth removed a year later b/c something goes wrong with it !! Whoo ! Thanks for letting me rant !! !!

yep you are correct it is not the norm to have a gallbladder burst. Normally it is stones that are the prob and they either pass, are blasted or the organ is removed. Although I have a small stone it isnt the prob. At some stage I had a massive infection and the organ is diseased (according to the surgeon) the walls are thickened...one would expect thinner walls to be more susceptable to bursting. I am still here however For now the only thing I have noted that makes my GB react with any regularity are mushrooms, fatty foods like fried fish and chips will not cause it to twinge normally. But give me a stroganoff or a steak with mushroom sauce and bingo I am writhing in agony. Then I take very strong pain killers...so strong my top lip goes numb and I begin to hallucinate LMAO anyway the surgeon said I would suggest you dont plan on being too far away from a hospital at any time because if it bursts you will die if you cant get to a hospital immediately. Then he warned me to keep an eye on any sign of my skin turning yellow...I thought that is what happened with hepatitis (liver) but then I guess bile would do it too
As to dentists ummm I cant find one that will do me under a general any more becos of the percentage of people that die under GA...jeez we are becoming more like the states. If I wish to make an informed decision and have a GA to have my teeth done then that is what I should be able to do

I love my dentist...All my teeth are dead and have been since I was 4 years old... I will have to have a root canal on every single one of them as they will all absess...I have been going to my dentist since I was a little girl.. I used to have to go every two weeks...That was for years....
My dentist is so ggod that I took my son to him and he pulled two of his teeth and he didn'y even know it until it had already been done.. The Doctor asked him if he would like a little box to put his teeth in... It was a kodak moment.. I wish I had hda my camera.....
