Morning my two good friends !


It was a decent day,  the usual stuff went on.  My parents cames over, and naturally my mom perched herself in front of the football game while my dad and I showed one-another our latest Tupperware collections !    Nice birthday party !   Anyway,  I'm working on Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald now... I think I found the key I'm best suited to sing in....  It's around Bb, C, maybe D...  Once in awhile I get lucky and hit a note I'm not terribly embarassed about too !   So that's an improvement !  Anyway, working on my singing... I'm determined  LOL    Hope both of you are well !!!! btw.... Yeah Jeanne,  I was over in Melly's the evening you mentioned it in here.. Stopped by the shoutbox, and stopped in to post and say Hello.  I really need to get back to Melly's.  She has a great board,  It needs more activity..

That's OK.  Doesn't matter to me since I don't know which way is up anyway <shrug>..   Nice thing is that in a few years Billy and I can be roommates in the "home".  Downside is with his looks and voice all the geriatric nurses are going to like it when he chases them to pinch their butt.... I'll get locked in the closet.

That'd risk throwing we old farts into Ventricular Fibrillation.  Doubt they'd use that. Maybe a 1960's poster of Honey West or something like that  in an attempt to bribe me ..  Or other women I liked when I was about 8 or 9.,  Ginger from Lost in space,  who knows....  I might regress a few years on they way down to infancy.

    Did either of you see the Karaoke request I entered for you two to do in a trading verses format ? "If we hold on together"  Diana ross.  (you probably did,  I just've been too lazy to go to the request forum and see if either of you answered)

MJK added a few interesting suggestions as well.  Milo DID do a comparable song last year with (gosh, I forgot the man she did this with) but it was VERY impressive.  A comparable OLD standard that was very similar to I can do anything better than you... Now I need to go look for it (assuming it's still around)..I think it IS "Anything you can do I can do better" as a matter of fact.  THe song Milo did with Larry ?

Thank you Sharon.  I'm also trying to keep this a Karaoke related thread in addition. That way fewer will have a logical claim regarding my OT hogging a thread  LOL   I'm still looking for decent machines (players).  I'd like to get myself something (still just have a DVD player), but don't want the Neo... Seems that the best machines are behind us (in terms of the 200-400 dollar machines.  THE RSQ-222 and triple tray units as well as the Pioneer drop-tray units still seem to be the best ?  or has something new that's of equal quality come along in the past year that also comparably priced ?

yes steven, i saw last night browsing around in your musician's chatter thread where you mentioned it....i downloaded the song and i'll see what billy thinks...beautiful song....have you heard our duet 'when i fall in love'?....listen to that and you'll know why i think billy would sound awesome on the song you requested....it's on my www in the duets folder...

it'll be a while before we can get to it though....he has a horrible thing going on with his throat and chest, he's feeling a little better now though....(note to billy:  YES you are STILL going to the doctor!!   )

the song i did with laurie (larry) was 'baby, it's cold outside'....fun, fun song...i also recorded 'i can do anything you can do better' but lost it when my computer died...

i loveeeeeeee fun duets!
