My mics have a horibble smell where some of the singer can't tolerate. How can we clean the condensor? The clothe and grill was removed and wash but I found that the smell comes from the foam pc on the condenser itself.

cool thanks, I have the SM58 so I guess they're dynamic mics, I'm able to remove the grill and the windscreen but beneath all that the head (I think that's what it's called) also have a windscreen which appears to be glued down.

The smell typically comes from bacteria growth.  Disconnect from any source of power, spray with alcohol or 10% bleach solution and allow to air dry before reassembling and reapplying power.

Brush your teeth once in awhile......sorry about that, just spray them with lysol a couple times a night.
