you can always go cutesy and say "there are no bad singers only bad listeners"

What I tell my customers is that karaoke is not about what you sound like it's about getting up there and having fun. Then I tell them that everyone here will support you, and cheer for you. My show has very gracious crowds. And then I tell them that they can pull a discounted drink ticket just for singing a song.
Our drink tickets are either full price, half price, 50 cents or 25 cents. People love that, that's pretty much our signature attraction is the drink tickets. We make a big deal of it too, I have the audience give me drum rolls when we pull them to highten the enthusiasm.   :drums:
