Hmmm.... Two new speaker cables, or a new car? Tough choice.
Would hate to see how much the 50ft. cables cost!

My speaker cables are 60 feet long.
I'll have to down grade my quality microphones to the $500 ones. Not.
That's still 10 steps up from all of my competition. :O

I have literally strung miles of various cables.. Rf, video and audio both aboard ship and all other land based senarios Tv distribution, cable, intercom, sound, phone, laser, video, audio, rf, uhf, vhf, speaker and others..
As chief engineer in small tv stations which are directlly below a 300 KW FM transmitter and a 300KW tv transmitter I dfont have a clue why one would need all that copper and isolation for a 8 foot audio run.. .. Of course I have some lakefront in ak...
In the olden days when cltv systems required seperate sync and video maybe but a 1 k spool was 49.95 wholesale...
I am not unfamiliar with this concept A Grass Valley Video switcher has a 50 and more shieled pairs with the Winchester plug but this is video not audio..... The impedances and shield reqiuirements in audio are not as critical as video or rf..

Its like, why do people need a $50,000.00 watch to tell them the time when a cheap $10 one can do the job just as well.

Ordinary 5 amp (bigger is better) mains cable is what I have always used for speaker cable. Never a problem.
Its not going to pick up any RF that could possibly be heard if the PA was turned up full with no music being played.
It is only at the pre amp and front end of the amplifier that shielding is required.
Any stray RF needs to be amplified first. If its not amplified its not capable of moving a speaker coil or even a piezo.
