No, As a person who did some acting, and alot of public performing. I'm aware of the difficulty MANY have watching and even listening to themselves. There's a certain amount of hypercritical judging when we view ourselves performing. MANY actors and performers can't or will not watch their performances. What they see really bothers them. I have the same problem going into the post office

The only problem I see is, ... they would never put anyones face on it but mine. :O The other singers would be so jealous.

Good topic! My answer.............uh, okay.
I just hope I don't have an anxiety attack on camera though.
I went to my favorite kj's Fri. night gig the other night, but I had to drive, and I arrived late....like midnight.....so, I drank bottled water....no alcohol.
The place was PACKED!!
I get up to sing a song that I'm normally pretty comfortable with, but it's an awesome song and must be done right....I'm standing out in the open dance area looking at the huge screen tv above while singing.....a bunch of people get up to dance.....they're all around me.....I started to panic!! I couldn't breathe!!
Thankfully, I successfully sang the song to everyone's delight....judging from the reviews I received from many afterwards....even the bartender chicks.
But I didn't have my liquid courage!!! I felt naked as a jaybird out there.
Just thinking about other people watching my face on a tv while singing would probably freak me out totally.
But given enough medicine beforehand, I'd probably say.....no problemo.

I have talked to many good singers that would not want their face all over the bar TVs.

I don't like looking PICTURES of myself let alone watch myself on TV. I'd be sure to not look at the screen. That's actually worse than bars with too many mirrors.

Yeah, I think just being up there in front of people would be stressful enough for most people who are the least bit self conscious.

I don't find singing stressful anymore, it's actually more of a release now. I just don't want to confront my own visage. Even though I'm an actress I can't stand the sight of myself, and HATE listening to recordings. The voice in my head is so much better than the one everybody else hears.

Well I think a lot of people feel funny seeing pictures or video images of themselves. Our inner mind and ear always paints a much rosier picture too! LOL

My voice coach says it took her years to like the way her voice really sounds. She says to others thats how it always sounds so they can accept it and like it a lot more easily than one self. Once she accepted and began to like her own voice she went to a new level of self-awareness and became a much better singer. It's much easier to do that when you realize that others accept the way you sound as good and believe in them and yourself. I am only beginning to accept my own voice, and it will take many more before I really can like it.

I agree ginger. When i was younger I felt the same way. I would purposely try to make my voice very plain, without any vibrato and characterless. I thought the sound of being different from the norm was unpleasant. Now I wish my voice had more character. I admire people that have a unique style and full tone. I don't worry so much about sounding like myself nowadays.

To be on topic..... I voted no. I would have voted HELL NO, but it wasn't one of the choices given:)
Well, I would GO there... but I'd make a very, very firm threat to the KJ about where he may or may NOT put my face:)
I have enough trouble being brave up there without having my face plastered on a dang TV screen for all to see up close.
Now, to be off topic (if I may..) Okay, thank you...
ODIE.... GINGER-THE-RABBIT....
Is this the same "Ginger/Diedre" that I'm thinking it is? (All That Jazz Ginger?)
Gotta be, too much of a close call....
If so, woohoo.... good to see you here.
If not, gosh.... I'm embarassed.

I wouldn't mind it as long as it was BEHIND me...so I wouldn't have to look at it! But if other do, I'm okay with that...
