Well I was drunker than I thought. I didn't wake up today until 2:30. I found my nights pay in my coat pocket after looking for it for an hour.  LMAO

I only had a couple beers and 2 shots. Way to much for a nondrinker.

I had intended on getting into lots of 'trouble' at Denny's last night with Charmin and the gang, but my rational thinking mind said lets just stay home and get completely over this stupid cold instead.  Sounds like Babs had a fairly wild time though!  :)

I did have fun although the first half of the night was pretty boring. The owner didn't advertise at all. Most of my regulars didn't want to come because he was having a band split time with karaoke. Friday night and Saturday were much busier.

He went to the trouble of having a band for part of the evening but didn't advertise?  That's kinda goofy! Was he just counting on his regulars and word of mouth?

I didn't know Auld Lang Syne had more than one verse! I have a Celtic pronunciation guide, and I'm going to learn the damn thing before next year. I need some kind of resolution.

Babs, at least you got to have a drink or two. Sorry it was a drink or two too many, though. I have turned into a lightweight myself. Kinda sucks, doesn't it?

He was complaining that there weren't many people there and the bar manager told him it was his own fault. He didn't even put up flyers. The only regulars that new about it were the ones who asked. When I asked him what he was doing for NYE about a week before hand, so I could announce it at karaoke he got mad at me and said you know already you'll be here. I'm stunned by this and say, Are you having drinks specials? Will there be food? What time do we start? He had no idea.
