Oh Bigdog,  You have so much to learn about the basic necessities of life such as "accessorizing".

How many accessories a woman needs to own is easy to figure out. The answer is, as many accessories as she see's.  The difficult part is WHICH accessories to wear in combination, to where she wears what and when. Her remembering all she owns when the seasons change and the fall wardrobe trailer is moved into the bedroom, and of course more importantly, What store is having a sale when ?  Life can be quite complex.  This can get quite problematic. In fact as someone who wishes not to be a codependent of such hardship, I just stay single !

It is quite amazing that a man who knows soooo much about women is still single sir

I wear a shirt with my logo on it.

Oh heck,  nothing wrong with that.  Last year I had my face printed on my Pillow cases at JC Penny,  I can't stand the way the detergent I use fades my strongly defined maxofacial bone-structure  :(

Here's a sure way to "score".  Once you get a woman back to your place,  hold up your pillowcase asking, "Does this black print make my jawline look svelt?"

Oh NO it's not !   LOL

Think about it !

It's what the married ones have yet to learn, or can't clearly perceive that's the problem !

Here's an example of how difficult romance makes things to see clearly. Many forget these very profound aspects.

1)  Members of the opposite sex are often HUMANS.  They are people.
2)  People end up being pains in the @$$.

I can go on and on with this !

OR:   were you pulling my leg with sarcasm ?  Which of course would be appropriate LOL

I have an outfit that I wear from time to time when performing.  My wife says that my demeanor actually changes when I’m dressed.  That I become a lot more outgoing and that I interact with the audience a lot more.  After she said that, I even noticed it.  I’m not sure why this happens.

A costume can help you create a character. Makes it easier to do stuff up on stage. Even when I am doing improv comedy, I am playing a character, not really exposing "Gayle" to the world. I like to wear solid black for improv. Since you play so many roles doing it. this is kind of a "blank slate" thing.

Hat? Why in the world would your wife want to wear a hat? And as much as I love hats, they are a pain and very sweaty, I think. I used to wear a lot of pseudo-Stevie Nicks stuff when I was running the show--suits my personality and really stood out from all the big shiny belt buckles and cowboy hats.

One of my favorite KJs of all time does not dress the part--he wears shorts and stuff. The show is always great, but dang his wardrobe drives me crazy! It looks like he doesn't care. I like the logo shirt idea, BD. Professional, but not overly dressy.

Logo shirts are always good---casual but in a work/show context. Plus give some advertising with the logo.

I have been many different characters for Halloween.   I have been Elvira, complete with stockings, eye lashes, fingers nails, high heels, spandex costume, etc.   Also sang girl songs all night, as a woman.    Done others, dressed in costume all night.  Worked the entire crowd as always by delivering the mikes to every singer.   I also transform in to a much more out going personality.    Something to hide behind.

I considered years ago using many props and costumes during the night.   I have many used instruments from garage sales.    I never had the guts to do it.    Don't know how to fit it all in.   But then again quality karaoke carries my show, so it wasn't really needed.    It's professional all night long.     No dead air.    No need for goofy stuff.

I don't know that I actually dress for any paticualr song, however I do think that the best part of singing Karaoke like any othere entertainer is to work the ground and get them involved. People that don't sing come to listen and enjoy a variety of music and I feel that I should give them a good show. A friend of mine and I sing Man of Constant sorrow and he actually bought two long beards to wear when we sing that and people just love it...  As far as getting enough balls to do anything, I say don't worry about what others say or think and they may actually like it... So sing like no body is watching and remember you are singing t o entertain.....

BD - you as Elvira, give me a break?! You must be more feminized than I thought!
   I know Elvira...I've studied her, she's HOT (it's the cleavage thing)...you ain't no Elvira! No wonder you flunked out on the dress up thing.

"much more out going personality."   :headscratch:  I'm stunned. This one has me completely stunned. Our own Rodney Dangerfield of the KS board does'nt have a high level of confidence in his personality.

Go figure..

lostcowboy1966 - the beards could also fill for ZZ Top props.

I had fake breasts glued on and a guy wanted to buy me a condo in Florida, while he had me sitting on his lap.  LMAO

I'm that good at everything I do or I won't even try it.    Karaoke is my forte now.

Edited...

I forgot to add that my waist was 29 and I can crack walnuts with my A** cheeks and my legs look absolutely gorgous in heels.    They really pump up you behind too..    LMAO    Kill your feet just to look great.. :worship:  :O

BD, ever been approached by Mark Foley?  Jeff Gannon?

Sounds like another closeted republican "coming out".  Tell your "idiot bar owner" you wanna go to rehab. Who's the father of Mary Cheney's baby...can't be BD! LOL

Do they have "pages" for KJ's?      I'm worried about a lawsuit here!

And here I thought only Jon Claude Van Damm could crack walnuts with his cheeks!  You are multitalented!!

Still think I'd prefer the REAL Elvira though, she's cute along with her bonus features.

Interesting subject because to me it depends on which kind of show your doing i do almost all private parties {wedding receptions, birthday, corporate functions etc.} I only do maybe 1 or 2 bars a year, of course i'm just a part time kj. In my arsenal i have 2 pimp suits, 1 regular suit, Santa Claus suit, of course my cowboy stuff. A couple of months ago i did a reception for a wedding that was Irish themed and i just happened to have my Scottish outfit that my wife had made me for halloween  a few years back . I showed it to the bride, and she loved it. To me the kjs job is to get the crowd going, and convince them to sing the last thing i wanna do is sing all night. Well, i must say its worked so far. If a certain outfit will fit the occasion or help loosen up the crowd or give them something to laugh about.  i'm all for it....cal

My I have a jazzy fadora that I wear sometimes.  And when I wear it I HAVE TO since All That Jazz.  It really fits.  I also have a slinky black dress with lots of fringe and some beaded sequin fringe that I made for a karaoke contest.  It all works together very well.  Of course I usually sing that sone whether I'm dressed for it or not.

Always thought about wearing one of my rhinestoned western shirts and my Stetson and since all Dixie Chicks some night.  Ahh that would be boring, I enjoy mixing it up too much.

I usually dress pretty anyway.  I have clothes for karaoke.  I used to wear them all the time but now I work all the time.  Either that or I'm working with the bunnies.  Don't want bunny fluff on my snazzy night clothes, it never comes off.  LOL.
