So .... where is the weather 65-75 year round? THAT is where I want to live.
You definitely want norther CA for that. Our temperature is pretty even due to nice ocean next to us. However, despite being near the ocean, our humidity is fairly low, about 30-50% range most of the time. During the summer, temperature is usually between 75-95 range. Only few days during the summer we get over 100 degrees, yet the low humidity makes it very tolerable. During the winter, we get rain about 3 months out of the year, temperatures between 50-75 range during the day. We get sea level snow about once every 10 years, yet snow is only 2-3 hours away. Once in a while we dip below freezing (32 degrees) during the winter. That's when we actually have to do out and wrap the water pipe with socks or something. That happened to me 3 times in last 12 years.
Overall, I think this area has the most ideal weather.
Places like FL is too humid for my taste, although the weather seems to be warm year round. Southern CA is ok, places like LA or San Diego, but tend to be too hot during the summer. Arizona is great for lack of humidity but way too hot during the summer. I think New Mexico is fairly similar to our weather, although it can get cold during the winter.
I love this area, 30 mins from ocean, 4 hours to skiing, lakes nearby, forest full of redwoods, incredible fresh fruits/veggies from the central valley few hours away, freshest seafood (just got some great dungenous crabs at the dock when the ships came in the other day) and can't beat the weather.
It does cost an arm and a leg to live here however.
