I have a problem with noise from the slightest tapping or moving of my microphones. All my microphone cables do not fit snugly into the microphone. Is there an easy fix for all this noise?

what type of mic do you have? Condenser mics are extremely sensitive.

If the cables are loose, the connection may not be solid, which would explain the static. In this case, you probably just need new cables...

It doesn't matter what cable or mic I use, I have a few, they all have some play in them when hooked up to the mic.

All mic cables are going to have a little play when hooked up. Do all your mics make noise or just the 1? If it's just 1, then it's probably just a sensative mic, if it's all, i'd get new cables.

I have just replaced a mike cable and I noticed that it was a really tight fit in to the mike. I saw there are, for lack of a better description spring bumps on the end that goes in to the mike. I think if you can use a small nail or something to get under the spring part, you may be able to get it pryed out a little to make it fit tighter. Not too much a little at a time.
