That was very nice of you to work with her on slow night with price. I just hope she isn't one of those bar owners who will dock you pay when she sees fit. Just remember, I don't think she will pay you more when you have big crowd.   Just trying to watch your back for ya.

I'm glad to hear you worked out your set up problems.  :hi5:

No I'm sure she won't pay more if they're busy & I don't plan on eating everytime they're slow either.  It was just a thought, here...I'm here to work with ya!

I heard it from one of my bar owners and I heard it from other KJs.   They seem to have a figure in mind.   They don't like paying you 1/3 of the nights intake.   Lost a job over that.      It was an new night at an old bar.   It was getting bigger every week.   But I think he thought it was going to do the same as the other night, in one week.    Wrong answer.    When he decided to quit it was doing $500, his figures.    I tried to tell him it was only going to get bigger, but he didn't believe me.     Now he's thinking about starting it again.  If he would have kept going with it before, he would have been rolling in dough.

Point is... you will not be there long if you charge them more than they take in.   I have taken cuts many times just to keep peace.    I don't like it and I really don't think I should but I do...     How bad do you want to keep the job?

They always want you to take a cut when it's bad.   But they never offer more when it's really good.

I don't reccomend taking 1/2 pay for a slow night. I did in the past and the greedy manager started to take liberty with the situation and actually gave me 1/2 price on a so so night.  When I asked WHAT THE HEY? - He said it was slow - I said Kiss My AZZ ! --- Never again!!! ---  There is more then the entertainment that brings in customers .....

BD....WoW, I agree with most of what you said in this reply.  Is the whole world turning upside down?  Are cats & dogs living together as well?  MrD

Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies.
Rivers and seas boiling!
40 years of darkness, earthquakes, volcanos.
The dead rising from the grave!
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA!!!!

lonnie you and I posted at the same time   <<< my added edit

How about just reading the comments and being greatful for any input instead of stirring up the pot.

If you want to get rid of Feedback you can allways buy a Bose L1 I sing a few feet in front of it with no feedback at all. I dont have to lug speaker stands or big speakers. the whole setup takes up much less space than a regular PA system. google it I love My BOSE.
Just a thought
