I guess my bar owner plans on keeping me around a while.

He has been talking about making special mounts for my speakers and my tv stand for a long time.

I came into work last night and WOW ! He built a special mounting in the floor of the stage that my tv stand, when you take the base off, fits into. Then he built heavy duty swivel arms for my speakers, so I don't have to use stands any more.  :O
What a cool xmas gift. Now when they have a band I barely have to tear down anything. It has opened up more space. Plus people won't trip over the speaker stand legs anymore.

Now he is telling me he is having special tables built just for karaoke.

He has come a long way in the past 3 years. He originally wanted the bar to be mainly bands.  He doesn't even like karaoke.  LMAO Well this is a win for karaoke because I am there 3 nights week and he has been asking me for more nights.

Karaoke rules !!

Babs.  Is this the same person we'd all discuss when you were new in here ?  "THAT" person ?   The guy from hell ?  Do not leave YOUR equipment there. take it home with you at least once every few weeks.  Make it known this is YOUR equipment. When people do things, they often expect something in return.  This guy is selfish !  That type person doesn't just turn around and become Mr all-giving.

Wow ! Kool deal I wish all bar owners were that concerned with how much we do & cared enough to help. But like Kappy said beware there might be something fishy goin on. I dont trust anyone when it comes to my equipment.Worke too hard for too long to get it .

I went in tonight and he added new tables. They are long permanent tables set up like theater seating. It is kind of cool because the audience faces the stage in 2 rows of people. The singer really gets the feeling of being an entertainer on stage.

I can't wait to see what he does next !

Next he  will rent out your equipment.

My club asked if I would hard mount all of my system so I did.  All speakers hung & mounted, they built me an entire station custom built to the specs I needed & put in an extra circuit specifically for my amps.  If any outside source that happens to get booked (before karaoke) wants to use my equipment, no prob - for a price & they pay it.

I had 2 guys in last night for karaoke that play with 2 different bands that come in. We are all very friendly with each other. We have 3 regular bands that get booked at the bar. It has been the same bands for at least 2 years. I talked to both of them about the fact my equipment is mounted now. I asked them if I leave up my speakers will they be in their way when they play there. They said "no". I told them I was worried about bands thinking because the speakers are mounted that they will think they can use them. Did they think I would have a problem with that and they both said "no". It was a nice way of saying - I don't want my equipment being used. Plus they both assured me they would keep an eye on it for me when I wasn't around. I'm feeling much better about the situation now.

I am still going to pop my head in the first few times he has a band to make sure there isn't a problem. Honestly even if they offered to pay me to use it I would say no.
