I'm just curious what kind of trees everyone has during the holidays. I have a 7.5 prelit artificial tree, clear lights. It sounds boring, but all the ornaments from the years make it come to life. I love the home made ones, there my favorite.

I am staying at my parents house while my dad recovers from a broken hip. We pulled out a tiny artificial tree ('bout two feet tall) from the closet. I'm not sure how old it is but it's a green tree with colored lights... and the lights still work! That's about all the decorating we are doing here.
I'm not fond of having a live tree, only to watch it slowly die. I haven't had a tree of any kind for quite a few years. I don't make a big ta~do about Christmas any more.... now that my daughter has moved out. I stay away from the malls and I don't buy too many gifts. I think it's absolutely crazy how some people go wild buying extravagant gifts! It just seems sad that the holidays have become such a frenzy of stress. I do enjoy this time of the year though... the lights, the spirit of friends and getting together... and I do love to bake goodies!
When I did have a tree, I had a lot of sentimental ornaments that my daughter had made throughout her school days. Each year there was something different. I am sure one of these days we'll pull out those ornaments and decorate another tree... perhaps when we have some grandbabies! :D

Ive got a 71/2 ft tree in a smalllll living room...Story is, we used to live in a much bigger house than this one now & we did actually buy a 6 ft tree a couple yrs back but we took it out this year & the plastic tree stand was broken. & being from the south hubby tried the duct tape but it didnt work. So we had to take the big one down from the attic & put it up. We didnt feel like buying a new one just yet maybe at the after Christmas sales this year But anyways it takes up 1/2 my living room if not more hubby is not happy cause we had to move HIS lazy boy in order to have more room its pretty wide at the bottom. So he has taken over my lazy boy for now & I just LOVE looking at our tree just something about those lights makes me thankful for what Christmas means. Its really nice at night when the family is in bed sipping hot cocoa just staring at it.

You guys!!!!
I'm highly disappointed in every one of you!! Go to your rooms!! :(
You don't use FAKE christmas trees.
I'm SO late getting mine up this year... it's going up tonight tho. My living room is too scrunched up, so we had to do a bunch of rearranging to make it fit. (one wall is all window, one is a bookshelf, 2 couches, baby swing, baby basinet, etc) But I had to have a BIG one.... I don't like tiny trees. Mine's a big 'un:)
Shame, shame on you all for getting fake ones.
*i'm swooning like a southern belle at the mere thought of it*

Well, c'mere, I can fake a pretty good southern gal swoon. You just gotta promise to catch me, tap my cheek lightly to wake me up, press a cool compress to my forehead, maybe even do a little mouth to mouth if I don't respond.
Yikes, that was onry. haha
Hiya sheree, good to see you:)
