I like to use yogurt ! The assadoofolous works well with my friendly florals. It's a great homeopathetic probizotic.
I use standard aquarium litmus paper to check my Ph... Fish like it right around 7. except the live-bearers such as Molly's/Platies/Swordtails and Guppies.. They like it more on the base side. closer to 8 sometimes....
Do you folks ever get Ich ?

Wear gloves !
I know little about vinegar or how Newspaper will work with it. It probably will, but I use it either with nothing at all, or with windex (ammonia)

I cant tell you, but a besome or broom is as necessary to a practising witch as her athame (knife)
The besome is used to ceremonially clean the area before you cast your circle. Once the circle is cast and you are inside then the besome may be used to lay across the entrance as added protection

My gosh..... WHERE else is this thread gonna lead? LMAO
*I don't use hair products either, none of it. My hair is long & usually straggly, and I like it that way. I don't want it tamed & primped. So, I have no residue from products. But I would think, seriously, a good shampoo should work on a hairbrush much the same as it does on your hair?
*That "not so fresh feeling"..... stand outside naked and "air dry" after your shower. Nothing freshens like the great outdoors. (and you'll have all kinds of neighbors coming over to get acquainted afterwards too) That's nice, having neighbors who wanna be your friend:)
*Yogurt? Ewww, Steven, that's all I gotta say about that.... Ewww.
*Vinegar, I use alot of it. Rinse your hair in a half water/half vinegar solution, then rinse clean with COOL water.... and you'll get a shine like you wouldn't believe:) Red cider vinegar is also good for a variety of ailments. (best thing I've found yet for acid reflux, honest.... )
*Baking soda, I brush my teeth with it regularly, before the minty stuff. I don't bother with baking soda toothpaste, the regular yellow boxes are better. Keeps my teeth clean & my breath fresh. (but then, I have an issue with bad breath, it annoys the HELL out of me)
Nobody has covered earwax in this thread yet. Kappy, any thoughts? I myself am a Q-tip gal, I can't stand the thought of that shyt even starting to form:) haha

Yes Charmin ! I was just about to address how an ice-cream scoop also doubles as a fabulous means for the annual ear canal cleaning. You'd be amazed at how many sellers on Ebay have businesses where they just market THIS substance alone, and pass it off as "Ben & Jerrys Chunky Funky Hunky skunky butterscotch" HUGE oligopoly.
ooops ! How silly of me, it's almost friday 10PM and I've put in a bid at a dutch auction for 8 shipments of fingernail dirt. This seller who I've used for the past 5 years consolidates shipping charges on multiple lots !

For earwax: you need to pour a few tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide (from a pharmacy or supermarket) into about 8 oz. of warm, body temperature water. Tilt your head to one side and slowly pour some of the solution into your ear. Gently pull down on your ear lobe a bit to open up the ear canal more which will get the solution further into the ear. You'll start to hear a sizzling and popping sound as the hydrogen peroxide starts to loosen and dissolve the wax. Put a cotton ball or some kleenex in the entrance of the ear to help keep the solution in there for three to five minutes. Try to keep your head tilted as much as possible. Then remove the kleenex and let the solution and wax drain out into the sink. Now take one of those squeezable water irrigation bulbs and flush the ear out with plain, warm water to get any remaining wax out.
Remember I'm not a real doctor! I just play one on KS. :) This earwax removal routine has worked for me though. The doctors often use hydrogen peroxide too.

Best method I've found yet first requires loosening the caked wax from the sides of the ear canal.
Although hydrogen peroxide might work, it can also eat away necessary bacteria in the cilia of the eardrum, and certain peoples necessary bacteria/ accumulated debris further down the canal (aka brains).
Rather than using Hydrogen peroxide, putting KY gel on the end of an M-80 and gently inserting it into the ear canal (you don't want to go in too far or you might injure yourself, also don't use vaseline because non-water soluable lubes can lead to infection), the center fuse still must show
Put a bib around your neck so you don't mess your clothing with the slight mess that can ocurr using such a holistic method.
Light the fuse and this next part is important. Make CERTAIN you duck behind a wall between your head, and anything valuable you might own. You don't want to break anything around your house that might be valuable such as things on shelving, glass trinkets. Remember, medical insurance policies often will not cover these homeopathic remedies. For some reason, the AMA is reticent regarding acceptance of naturopathic healing, since it can't make as much money from these methods.
Once you loosen the excess wax buildup from your ears using this cutting edge method, this remedy guarantees you a most affective and long lasting means of preventing concerns regarding hearing impairment from hardening earwax ever again. While its normal for everyone to have a certain amount of earwax, never again shall you have earwax as a concern or cause of impeded hearing.
Following this treatment, during warm showers or baths, tilt your head back into the water, or get some warm water in your ear. The warm water loosens the ear wax, use a q-tip carefully but never a cottonball, improvised device with a paper towel, especially something soft such as TP... Wipe the warm earwax from the ear, and throw the Q-tip away in the garbage bin containing other disgusting substances with similar flavorings such as Hazelnut, Tequila, certain Saccharins etc.
