Hi All,
Here is my problem, I have a mic cable(xlr-xlr), when I plug my Sony Mic on the cable it works fine, but when I plug my CAVS mic on the same cable it hums/ticks thru the speakers. When I use the CAVS with another mic cable (xlr-xlr) its fine.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks in advanced for any help or inputs.
Happy Karaokeing! :dancin:

Do you have specs on both microphones ?  Perhaps that would help eliminate some issues.  I'd try a few more xlr/xlr cables and see if it's that particular cable with the CAVS microphone, or something loose in the xlr wiring of the CAVS microphone input due to some strange connection problem with that particular cable.  I'd be curious if the problem is in the cable or Microphone, or just a poor connection caused by trying to connect those two particular items.

Chances are you have a single conductor mic cord.. If you can take apart one of the xlr's see if you have 2 wires besides the shield... If not get a 2 conductor mic  cord....
