Kelley, you know how many times I've wished that same thing? Not out loud in here, just... you know, falling stars and birthday candles and stuff:)
Seriously, that would be nice. Just..... so you'd know. But then again, I don't care. Well, yeah I do. My listens are usually quite a bit more than comments, and I do wonder. But it is impossible.... as someone else said, anonymous people can listen, and that needs to stay as is.
What I hate, is when people don't listen at all but leave a comment. I've heard that griped about, and wondered if people were wrong in thinking it. UNTIL...... One day I got that too. And I KNOW who did it, for a fact. It was a slow day, and I was sitting here on my duff. I had listened to my sub soon after subbing it (of course, I think we all do, to check it went up okay)... then I got my first comment. It still said "one view"... which was mine. And I didn't get the second comment (making it TWO listens) for a few minutes after. So, I know without a doubt my first "comment" was bogus. I'm not usually petty, to each his own is usually my motto..... but I have no tolerance for idiots. I haven't commented or listened to that person since then. Why mingle with trolls?
But, since I HAVE wondered if sometimes there's a glitch in the system. (surely people wouldn't hope to gain by commenting without really listening...??) Each and every time I listen, I will listen, then click to listen again. So, if there's a glitch making it look like I didn't listen, I'm counted atleast one of the times:) So, most likely, I'm always guilty of 2 "views". I don't always listen fully twice (who has time for that? ) But I always, always click it twice.

But hey whatever rocks ya boat I guess.
If I was to vent I would say that I try and be fair and listen to as many as I can and comment on them (unless I can find nothing nice or constructive to say then I say nothing) But realistically with so many to listen to and not always the luxury of time I have been kinda skipping some recently becos its a lonnnng time since they have either bothered to acknowlege a comment left on their sub or bothered to listen to anyone elses
For those who dont fit into any of the above categories, I apologise profusely if I have not commented or listened to you Hopefully by next week the stupid season at the hotel will be over...
ummm a story for the not too squeamish...
at the hotel on Sat night...a waitress went to clear plates from a table at one of the functions and discovered a woman under the table giving oral assistance.

Yes you are correct Kappy , I didnt think we had any neg vibes between us prior to this exchange..in fact the comment I left on this persons sub were all the time positive NEVER negative...I can only tell my side of this like I said

Guys all I wanted to let you know is my views on this matter...Im not wanting to start a pi$$ing contest...while I know that SS would prolly never work the way I wish it was really just a way of putting my views out there ya know... I never said names & yes a few people have pm'd me asking who & I still didnt say names..but really I did NOTHING wrong by this person until AFTER the comment back about me listening "quite a few times"...

Comment I gave :

I edited my comment to say : WHAT was this for its very very uncalled for I DO NOT click the listen button just to F with someone...

I then sent a pm:  

LOOK I dont know WHAT that comment on your song was but it was VERY uncalled for I DO NOT push the listen button just to f with someone. AND I DIDNT HAVE TO LISTEN AT ALL ORRR GO BACK TO COMMENT ON IT !!!!!

And another:

No, can assure you if you are having gigantic listens I'm not the one doing that but I did think you were the one listening a few times as you were one of the few people on...was not all that upset about it either.  In fact, I suspect another person who might be playing with me (and now you and I know Redhead has had this going on for some time now. Believe me, if you think I'm pointing fingers, I would have nailed it to this guy a long time ago but again, no proof.  I know there are many people not connected with this site that listen and cannot comment.  I seriously think you might be spending just a wee bit too amount of time here if this is what you are so upset about.  I think it is ridiculous myself.   I don't appreciate IMs from folks asking me why I have not listened to them in a while--you were not the only one.  It puts a lot of stress on something that should be enjoyable.  The truth is you are a hit or miss singer and on most of the songs you submit you are very much off pitch.  I'm no musical authority but I know when someone is really off key. Perhaps I should have told you this in the first place if it is honesty you want.  I know when I posted my thoughts in the singer's forum you wrote a piece that was very defensive and were the only one that did so, which kind of told me you might be ultra-sensitive.  At the time I wrote that I wasn't thinking of you or anyone else in particular, but just my general experience since being with this site.

Apparently YOU were the one worried about how many times someone listens to your subs NOT me by what you said on your comment back to me I told you I listened twice & I tell everyone when I listen more than once to their subs, check my comments if you dont believe me !!.... Ya know lets just end this now because Im NOT getting into ANY more drama with you or anyone else on this site. I like it here & Ill spend as much time as I WANT here...And to tell you the truth you are NO (Their fav singer would let you know who it is so I will be a lady & not post it )___________ yourself !!! Ultra sensitive my bahonkus !! Im so clue less sometimes...I did not even know that you could listen unless you signed in....I just went over and tried it without signing in and "yes anyone can listen!!!!  No signing in needed to listen"!!!!

So for someone to jump on someones case about this listening too much crap shows that they evedently dont know that any one can listen.  This explains to me now why I get listens and no comments.  My ratio is nothing like what you guys have mentioned here but still.....any body can listen!!!!! If no body is signed into this site there are plenty of people who can still listen and that explains the whole deal with a bunch of listens with no comments!!!!

I dont know who is fussing over this but please dont sign in and go see for your self...click on a song..any song and you will see the listen button and you can listen to that song if you click on that listen button!!!!

Knowing the above info...its stupid to point a finger at anyone and putting blame on them that they are messing with your mind!!!

Now that I know that anyone can listen without having to sign into the site....I can't help but laugh at who ever is making all these claims that people are messing with them!!!!

If you are getting a lot of listens with no comments....Hello  somebody or a lot of different people evedently enjoy listening to your singing...but maybe they dont want to join the site!!!!  For all you know it could be someone from some other country who is recording your singing and then keeping it for what ever reason.

Anything that you can hear on your computer speakers or headphones can be Recorded!!!!!  Here is how:

Plug a stereo cable into your headphone jack on your computer and plug the other end of this stereo cable into the line in jack on another computer or a recording device and you can record with no problem.

you dont have to save the file from this site like some people use to do....you can record it to another device like described above...its simple  LMAO

Some web site's make it so you cannot save the file you are listening to....Some sites make the file a format that wont work exept with a special player....But to get around all and anything anyone comes up with....Just do as I said above and you can save any audio that you can listen to on the web.....lmao  LMAO

Now....the persons who have been fussing at people claiming they listen too much, surly after reading this you will feel silly...unless you did not get what was  said here and if that is the case then read it again!!!!  LMAO

Fat chance...this person IS a member & KNOWS all about this site & KNOWS you dont have to be a member to listen ...been here long enough...Just paranoid I tell you...Just paranoid.

ahhhh I bet they also know that they can click their own listen button if it serves a purpose, a million times if need be. Hmmmmmm....  yes its true.  Like i said before. Or..... simpler than that. (for those of us who don't have 2 computers)

Change your soundcard settings to record from "stereo mix" rather than "line in" or "mic".... and record it onto your PC.  (CEP works great for that too.... just remember to change it back before you start singing to record yourself)

Gosh, this is getting kinda squawky.... can't we all just get along? No?

Charmin you cant find it b/c after the incedant they removed the song..no doubt b/c they halfway realized what an arse they were for accusing me in the first place ...I did tell you remember that I edited my original post AFTER I seen their comment back to me & told them it was uncalled for b/c I dont click the listen button just to f with someone & I did not spell out the f word I just put F ...So who knows maybe they didnt want anyone to KNOW what a jack a** they were ...Have to ask them...IF they were PERSON enough to let themselves be known...IM not gonna say who it is though...All I wanted to do was let my opinion be known
