I saw Gilbert Gottfried (he played a prize--if that can be considered one) recently on a revival of that show. I wrote and asked why he didn't get traded in for something. Gilbert told me that special guest contestant Leslie Nielson did in fact trade him in for a year's supply of furniture polish to go with the Broyhill furniture set he had already won, but they cut that part.

Oh, Now you see, assuming the contestant was offered cash and Steven Wright, that would've likely made Gottfried quite desireable..
What few realize is that when a 50 year old male is asked this riddle, he's going to shoot for the second goat as the prize... What the heck can you do with a car anyway ? It's just an attractive nuisance ! I was basing my answer on odd's of winning a goat, after you realize you only have one more chance.. You already blew it once

Who wouldn't want a goat? They never did give away monkeys on that show, ever notice that? Goats, cows, turkeys--you name 'em but no monkeys. Now, goats and their kind are great but I'd gladly take a monkey, especially one of those little marmoset jobs....

I went into the woods and got it. I sat down to seek it. I brought it home with me because I couldn't find it. What is it?

This is VERY tricky. It might be "self" or something metaphysical, it could be a small insect biting you. Other than that, I concede. We'll see what others say. This is a good one !!

8's obviously wrong because the answer would maybe be "leaf". So obviously the correct answer to 8 is Binder..
As in Loose Leave Binder.
Kappy <----- Always thinking !
The answer to one is obviously Chicken's. They have fingers. So do some ladies that can't type.
OK, now in all seriousness a Potato has an eye. As does a Hurricane
...not to mention "The Eyes of March". Very common saying !

Quote: When is a car not a car?" (When it turns into a driveway)
This I NEVER would've gotten !
"eye of a needle is an excellent answer too actually
Maybe Gloves without the hands in them can't type ?
