Depends on your defenition of POWERFULL.  Do you mean by wattage, or perhaps functions available?

I believe 1000 Watts is about tops for the industry (I could be wrong)
but in checking all my normal sources that seems to be the top rating.

I use the EMX5000-12 it has 500W per channel which has been plenty of power for my needs in small, medium, and large venues.  I love this board for mixing vocals the effects are terrific.

Upon Further Reading From YAMAHAS Website This Mixer Is 500 Watts Per Channel Into 4 Ohms, So Theoretically Isn't This Mixer Underpowered To Drive Yamaha Club Series 15 1nch Speakers?

Tommy I think you will find that most powered mixers will rate at 4 ohms.

Perhaps the proper question should be:

I have a set of speakers that are rated xxx watts @ 8 ohms, which powered mixer should I purchase to drive these speakers.

Theoretically yes it is - but it does push 350 watts into 8 ohms, which is still respectable, just technically speaking enough power for those particualar speakers.  Which blows me away as to why these boards are always packaged with speakers they can't technically drive properly.

500 watts into 4 ohms is pretty much the most powerful mixers available by most companies.  Some of these are bridgeable models - usually 8 ohms minimum load.

Thats What My Thoughts Were Too LONMAN, That Seems To Be A Nice Feature Laden Board! That Would Be Perfect For Karaoke Except For The Fact That It Really Can't Drive Decent Speakers To Their Correct Rating. The Reason I Brought It Up Was I Have A Friend In The Market For PA Equipment And I Was Showing Him The Pros And Cons Of Powered Mixer Versus Separate Components. You Would Think That A Company Like Yamaha Or Mackie Would Come Up With A Feature Laden Board With Say A 700 Watts Into 8 Ohm Stereo Board. I Bet It Would Be A Big Seller or Maybe QSC Could Incorporate Their Powerlite Amp Technology Into A Powered Board. Thanks For The Replies Fellas.

Peavey just released not too long ago the PV XR8600 - Box Type but it is listed as pushing 600 watts x 2 @ 4Ohms.  - It looks like a nice unit if you can use the BOX type.

Side note: I have in the past used a PV1200 to run the Yamahas SV115 without any problems and that was only pushing 280w x 2 @ 8ohms.

I've since moved up to a Crown Xls602 - 380 x 2 @ 8Ohms and I think that is still too small      :(
