Transferrd all my songs to a laptop. Using Roxbow (which is awesome) sound is from headphone jack - splitter for left and right channels - then into amp - a few times a night the sounds totally cuts out (video keeps going ) i then unplug the jack that goes into laptop and its fine. I did change the cable and also tried on another laptop with same results - any idea what could be causing this?

If there is no sound when fading to the other player bring that winamp up and check the volume control...If it is all the way down the fades are screwy have the auto fade to player 2 on... Use the fade bars to fade between both and see what that does....

In both winamps go into preferences output direct soung config and change from primary to the actual sound in your system...

If that doesnt work then we need to investigate further...

Also make sure you have the MINIMAL ammout if stuff running in the background.  It may be that an anti-virus program is checking somting, an indexing program could be running, or a host of other things.

Although it has nothng to do with crossfading, still check the above in the QUOTE.

Oh yeah, make sure winamp is on the CLASSIC skin
and in GENERAL PREFERENCES make sure NO INTERNET CONNECTION is selected
And that ALLOW WINAMP TO REPORT...  is UNCHECKED
And SHOW SPLASH SCREEN is UNCKECKED

Also check the winamp LIBRARY preferences, and make sure that RESCAN FOLDERS EVERY xx MINUTES is UNCHECKED.
