A crossover is a processor that divides frequencies & directs them to the speaker that can reproduce them best. In a 2 way crossover, the processor would split the signal into 2 parts - a high & a low. Sending the highs to the compression driver (tweeter if you will) & lows to the woofer. A 3 way crossover divides the signal twice, dividing the signal into 3 parts. Highs, mids & lows. Just don't add the subs to them without adding an outboard crossover & second amp, unless you want to sound like you don't know what you're doing!  :wave:

Yes they already have a built in 'passive' 2 way crossover.
What TTT was getting at about the sub, if you planned on adding the matching sub for the Yamaha system, an external 'active' crossover & 2nd amp would be required to make it sound good.
